This is a phenomenal liquor store. It has one of the best selections of all types of alcohol that I've ever seen (especially the Scotch and Vodka aisles). They're very well represented in the beer section as well. A very good selection of Belgian beers (all styles) as well as domestic micro / craft beers available for purchase. If you're looking for a hard find selection in the Tucson area, start your search here. If you're looking for a more mainstream selection this is also a great place to shop as the prices are usually cheaper than some other places in town.

Well I came in thinking it was all about wine (Hence the name) but as my lady went over to look for wine and crap I felt out of place. I don't drink wine and all the times I've tried it I just cant get in to it. She's studying to become a Sommelier so she's constantly bringing wine home. as I strolled through the aisles I walked over to the beer section and immediately felt like I belonged since people buying wine thought they were more sophisticated than me. Well I bought over 20 different brews and have not looked back. I will continue coming here to learn, taste, and enjoy a truly tasteful beer!

This is the store that has really propelled me into trying more craft beers. It is absolutely my favorite place to buy beer. The store was clean and put together well. The staff was very helpful showing my wife a specific wine she was looking for as well as a few other she may like. I'm pretty happy I stumbled across this place because I've yet to find anywhere else that can match the selection of single bottles that these guys can.

Total Wine is a Home Depot sized store dedicated to adult vice - alcohol of all type, rows and rows of wine, and a very large (for Tucson) selection of beer. The beer selection has the industrials in bulk 48 packs or whatever, 2 or 3 aisles of craft beers, even a nice selection of a few tasty Germans and Belgians. The bomber selection which lasts both sides of a large aisle is especially impressive. Prices are the lowest in Tucson for quality beer. The service is friendly and fairly knowledgable. it's big and industrial-wonderful and marvelously efficient, but I prefer funky little local Plaza Liquors. Check both out and decide for yourself!

I like to go here for 12-pks of craft brews and seasonals.
The staff is usually pretty helpful if you need them.
I like that they keep up with the seasons well; September brought the Oktoberfests, October brings the pumpkins, and Late Oktober starts the Winter Warmers.
So far, this is the only place in Tucson I've found Lakefront Pumpkin lager (which is by and far the best pumpkin brew).
The selection, for Tucson, is top-notch. This really is the largest selection you will find in this city. LOTS of craft brews, strong showing of imports, and plenty of Domestic adjuncts.
Don't get me wrong, depending on where you are from, the selection may not blow you away.
I would say a Woodman's in Wisconsin or Binny's Beverage Depot in Chicagoland absolutely decimate this place's selection, but again, in Tucson this is the largest.
That said, I find Plaza seems to usually have a few random ones they don't have here (plus Plaza is local).
I love getting a 12pk of craft brew for under $15 here. Their 6-packs are also reasonable-to-cheap. They also let you do a build your own 6-pack, which is nice.
Cost to selection, they can't be beat. If you need a large amount of bier, are on a tight budget, need a common Craft or a particular seasonal, I'd say this needs to be your first stop.
Also, decent selection on Liquors (selection varies on what you are after)

This Total Wine impressed me alot more than the one I visited in Florida. I'm hoping that isn't only because they are a newer store that just opened. They have a large selection of craft beer with many imports also. They carry just about every regular release imaginable, the only thing lacking are some of the harder to get special releases. The main advantage they have here is the pricing. Six-packs and bombers can be a buck or two less than many other liquor stores in town. I believe a Chouffe Houblon was $9 when I have seen them for $13 elsewhere. Overall the staff is helpful if you have any questions.
Bottom line- they have a solid selection with relatively low prices.
Update Feb 2011: Starting to get disappointed with this store. They have so many old beers on the shelf now it's unbelievable. They actually have too large a selection and barely any of it is kept cold.
