Short shelf-life beer manufactured in a small traditional brewery without any preservants, just from clear natural ingredients and clear mountain spring water.

A: Poured from a 0.5 L bottle into a tulip beer glass. The body is dark brown to almost black, deep ruby on counter-light; rich and fairly creamy yellowish head.

S: Cereals with some roasted hints.

T: Not too heavy but nevertheless rich caramel/malt, moderately sweet, very pleasant and drinkable.

M: Smooth, light to medium-heavy, well-ballanced carbonation.

O: Like it's light version from the same brewery it's a clear, very pleasant beer. A high-quality dark lager, not to be missed when having an opportunity to taste.

500ml Bottle into a Bruery Tulip.

Brought back from Croatia by a friend.

Pours the deepest brown. Pretty much black. A nice looking head receeds to minimal lacing.

Nose is fairly rich. Caramel and a touch of dampness.

Taste is quite malty, lightly spicy. Pretty tame compared to the American Craft I'm used to, but very well done nonetheless.

Mouth is silky, a little on the light side. Pleasant.

Overall, a great look into a popular beer from across the globe. Glad to have been able to try it.

Pours a clear and completely dark color witha very decent cream colored head.
The aroma is slightly roasted and heavy on the toffee - pleasant.
The taste is sweet slightly roasted with very little coffee. There is small bitterness in the end.
Easily drinkable.

500ml bottle from Spar, Zagreb (7.99 kuna):
This one was a very nice dark lager, there was a good roasted malt taste & plenty of sweetness throughout as well as some nice bitterness to help balance things out. The beer had plenty of flavour but thankfully didn't overpower & it was easy to drink, part of the reason I picked it up more than once whilst in Croatia.

Pours very dark brown, small tan head, that turns to a nice lace.
Nice smell of roasted grainy malts, hint of salted caramel, faint coffee and a bit of wood.
Nice soft cereal taste, creamy, a bit like oatmeal, so nice and rich malts. Not so roasted at first, but decently enough later on. Nice caramel. Some mild hop presence, with a low citrus zing in the back. Finish is mildly bitter, leaving a bit of roasted grains and some faint coffee in the aftertaste.
Smooth body, low carbonation, pretty stout-like.
Easy to drink, rich and tasty enough.
