The jesuits never had much luck beating the latin into me during high school, but I think the name means something along the lines of "what is this?," or "what can this be?" I'm sure there's a story behind the name, but I didn't get around to asking about it.
The beer is listed as a special bitter, and it pours the color of apple cider, with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I got some light cereal and earthiness, with a hint of sweet malt. The beer was quite soft and dry on the palate, with just enough malt to balance out the hoppy earthiness. However, this beer is very much on the dry side, and came across as pretty light on the palate. There also seemed to be a slight woodiness to go along with the earth and bitterness from the hops. Mouthfeel was fairly light, but with a fairly soft and creamy finish. Drinkability is pretty good, with the beer delivering a decent amount of flaovr for its relatively low alcohol. Nothing special here, but it wasn't bad.
