I always wanted to try this just because of the bottle and I'm glad I finally did. Great golden color with a very slight haze. Smells like pink cotton candy, sweet tarts, dried apricot. The taste is soft on the palate. I was expecting something more intense based on the smell but a great flavor for the style over all. Nice carbonation. Solid beer. I'll have another.

750 ml ceramic bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/10/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big peach, apricot, lemon, pear, apple, honey, candi sugar, bread, light clove, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big peach, apricot, lemon, pear, apple, white grape, honey, bread, candi sugar, light clove, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of peach, apricot, lemon, pear, apple, white grape, honey, candi sugar, bread, light clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity of fruity/earthy yeast ester and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly slick/crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome Belgian golden ale. All around great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

A: Bright yellow-orange colour, slightly hazy nice head
S: Lemon and orange, hints of hops and coriander, smells refreshing
T: apricot and orange, slightest hint of spices and hops, a bit too sweet
M: undercarbonated, medium body, a bit sticky
O; does not deliver on the promise, but not a bad beer, drinks easily, not heavy

Poured from 750ml bottle into Chimay goblet.

A - Straw gold with some slight haze. A white laced foam.

S - Fruit, peach/apricot, lemon zest, sweet malt and candi sugar.

T - Phenols, alcohol, candied fruit, grapefruit-like hop bitterness. Mild sweetness and peachy ester notes.

M - A medium body with a slightly astringent finish.

The smell was fantastic, but the flavors come through in the wrong order. The alcohol and hop astringency really throws the balance.

Appearance- Hazy golden pour, good head with light bubles.

Smell- Smells like a very malty beer. (Not my favorite smell, but it's a good smelling for a golden ale)

Taste- Sweeter tasting beer with a slight carbonation taste. A little bitter tasting towards the end and leaves a dry feeling afterwards.

Mouthfeel- Carbonation feel immediately, followed by a crisp flavor, and finishes dry.

Overall- I love belgian style ales. This one didn't disappoint!! I didn't like how the ending was as dry as it was but still very good. Would have again.

Big ol' ceramic bottle with swing top, labeled as "Monsters" and a perfect Halloween brew, I figure. It is clear pale gold in color with a frothy white head and very active carbonation. Looks like champagne. Smell is sugar, caramel, oranges, and grass. The taste is toffee and caramel malt, with a slight spicy finish. Very balanced and very good :) It is very carbonated with a nice slickness that holds it in check. Very very nice, malty and sweet without being cloying. This gives Duvel a serious run for its money.
