I found this place walking to Variety Playhouse in five points Once we sat down I realized this used to be Bridge Town Grill which had great food. If i could still get that Jerked ckicken and great beer WOW! So needless to say this place has a great atmosphere big booth's low lighting a very norrow hall way wich makes for a New Orleans kinda vibe. You can hear the person you are talking with. The service is fair but polite and knows the menu well. The selection if I had to compare to Brickstore or Trappeze ranks 3rd. for what I have found so far? Not bad for a city that is going beer crazy right now. Every body has stepped up there game here in Georgia!!
What makes this in the the same company as Brickstore is they offer a good selection of cheese and have tasty food. The beer was served in the proper glass and the bathrooms are kept clean. The prices are very fair considering this is in the trendy Five Points area... So kudos who ever owns this place your doing a great job thanks for all your hard work. There's plenty of room left in this town for a great beer bar.

I go to Atlanta a few times a year for work. I’ve always gone to Wrecking Bar, which always has great beer and food and a fantastic vibe. I was told to visit Porter but just never did until recently. It’s a pretty good vibe. A lot of wood, and a bit industrial with exposed brick too. Kind of shabby sheek. A relatively small bar.
The beer and food quality were very high. Excellent in both areas. Fresh and flavorful.
Great service, and excellent beer knowledge, especially on the local offerings with which I was not as familiar.
The beer selection was amazing. Diverse tap list and one of the best, if not the best bottle list I’ve ever seen, including up against Church Key in DC. While I was there I had Gueuze Tilquin Draft, Reboog Vitus (Garigaste), a BBA stout sampler of local stouts from Cherry Street, Orpheus, and Scofflaw, and a bottle of Grisette from Green Bench. They had a couple cool flight options like the BBA stout sampler, which I thought was very cool.
I had wings and a burger. Both were excellent, but I’m partial to the food at Wrecking Bar.
A must visit for any beer lover in Atlanta.

Simply awesome spot in a chill neighborhood of the ATL.
HUGE selection of quality taps and a way over the top list of bottles and vintage bottles..serious beer spot....plus quality, fresh and interesting, down to earth food options....funky, down to earth and cool, loads of atmosphere...
When a bartender offers water without being asked it tells me quite a bit...like they care about their customers and they are smart....
Well worth a visit if you are in this area.

So yay, I got to finally check off this bucket list bar. The main bar is in a skinny room that looks like it was probably once an alley, and there is a larger table area in the back. Gritty rickety vibe (the whole hood seemed like a hipster area), sort of old Americana, wood & brick; nice. An impressive tap list, and quite a selection of bottles/cans as well, including some pricey rarities. The beer menu is massive and takes some time to look through even if you know what you're doing. There was only one guy behind the bar when I was there, and even with a moderately busy mid-day crowd, he was right where he had to be the whole time, and knew how to give help out folks who needed recommendation (including directing drifters who wanted High Life to other nearby bars). The food menu is not huge, but everything on it was tempting. I went with the brisket sandwich, per my m.o., and was not disappointed.
Overally, I was very happy with the Porter. If I lived in the city, this would surely be my bar of choice.

This is an awesome beer bar in little five in Atlanta. One of my favorite places to go, always something new on draft and their bottle list is immense. Give it a try the food is amazing and the servers know their beer.

Our first stop in the Little Five Points area, and a very good one. Excellent beer selection, cool vibe, friendly bartender. We enjoyed everything about the place except we only went 1 for 2 on food selections. Still worth a stop.

Atmosphere melds with the rest of Little Fives, dark, dingy and comfortable on the inside, like a classic pub should be. Both the quality and selection of draughts is first class. An expansive menu and vintage list are available at mostly reasonable prices, though some of the vintage can be quite steep. Last I was there, KBS was $60 a bottle, but that was probably the only outrageous price. The menu is a clipboard with binder rings that hold about 40 pages of material. If you've never been, you'll need a moment to look it over. It's finely detailed, and if the description for a drink is too nuanced, the staff will be more than happy to clarify things for you. The service is relatively quick, and very attentive and helpful to aid in your selections. There is some above average food here, nothing too fancy, but more than satisfactory should you need a bite to eat. They also have a great spirit and cocktail selection.
Overall: One of my favorite bars, one not to miss if you're in the area.

You may wait almost forever for a beer, but their selection is worth it. While this place gets packed quick, you can make reservations (the food is great). If you don't call ahead, be prepared to stand against the wall while you drink, or have people constantly reaching over you to order.

I have been here twice, had dinner once. Overall the place is cool and has nice decor. The long skinny path by the bar to the back of the restaurant is not well thought out. It is a pain to get through this and actually sit down. Crowd is hipster to the max. Food is average at best. Beer menu is solid, with lots of draft and bottle/cans. The vintage menu is cool to look at but really who is paying $50+ for a KBS aged 2+ years. I would not recommend this place but if you are in the area stop by.

Stopped in visiting my friend in Altanta. There selection was good. They have a beer cellar with a good selection of older beers, some are a little pricey. The vibe is relaxed with a nice stone inlay bar counter. The service was great.

Located in the heart of Atlanta's Little 5 Points area this place is a craft beer must. In addition to the 30 plus taps, they offered an extensive bottle/can list of both local and non. I didn't have any food but will definitely try it next time I'm back. I'd give the vibe a perfect 5 if it weren't for all the junkies that hang around within a stone's throw of the entrance.

What a wonderful place! My favorite beer beer in Atlanta. Great selection, inexpensive and delicious food, and right in the middle of Little Five Points.
