I've been sitting on this bottle from the first bottle release for a while now, but decided tonight was an appropriate evening to indulge...

L - Limited head with limited retention... The color is a murky light brown... Still well carbonation with a few moderate paced streaks and an equal amount of carbonation clinging to the sides of the glass...

S - A rich nose... An mix of sourness, oak and dark fruits in near equal prominence... Assertive and inviting, but nothing is overdone...

T - Everyone is dialed up a slight notch in terms of the flavor profile... The plum is quite pronounced on the palate... Each sip yields a slightly different nuance... A perfect degree of sourness... Really sophisticated...

F - Spot on for the style... On the lighter side of medium bodied... Light to moderate carbonation... Dense but lively... Saliva inducing...

O - Dynamite all the way around... One of the best American Wild Ales that I've ever encountered... The time in the bottle seems to have mellowed it significantly compared to the other offerings from the first batch of sours...

bottle purchased at Monks café in Philly. A brownish purple bodied beer with thick suspended pureed plums. Short lived head with no retention and no lacing on the glass. This beer is not very attractive looking at all. Aroma is absolutely outstanding, smell like juicy plum flesh; to the tee. Flavor is slightly less robust than the aroma, but tastes of authentic juicy plum flesh and transitions into a nice sour bite at the end of each sip. Medium bodied beer with low carbonation levels and a semidry finish. Another fantastic Pizza boy fruited wild ale. look forward to more in the future.

Thanks Brad. Orange hazy body with a thin cap. Funky, lambic, plum aroma. Lactic, fruity, sour. Nicely done.
