Formerly LegenDAIRY - Orange Juice (White Bronco). THE JUICE IS LOOSE! Our dreamy milk sugar IPA, built on a base of Pils and Oat malt with a heavy handed dose of Flaked Oats and Crystal 15 as well. Hopped in the kettle with Amarillo, Simcoe and creamy lactose and fermented with our trusty house yeast, then as fermentation slows down we load it up with orange juice, fresh orange zest and a truckload of Citra, Falconers’ Flight 7 C’s and Amarillo hops.

At long last, I am finally getting around to an extensive brewery horizontal to clear out a massive backlog in support of The CANQuest (tm). I knew that I had a number of their beers in abeyance, but it was not until I beCAN assembling them that I realized just how extensive my inventory actually was. 8/16.
From the CAN: "DAVE"; "Pizza. Beer. Happy."; "Proudly Brewed In Pennsylvania";"Please Enjoy Fresh, Preferably With Pizza. Do Not Age."
It is listed on here as an AIPA, but the label mentions "milk sugar", which suggests an NEIPA, but that's just my opinion, man.
As such, I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug just to see what would develop. I got two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with moderate retention to start. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was redolent with oranges, but was it an AIPA? Mouthfeel was medium. The taste had a pleasant orange citrusiness, but I was not detecting much in the way of hops. There was also an inherent sweetness that, when coupled with the orange, put me in mind of a liquefied Creamsicle/Dreamsicle. Mmm. It was tasty, but not really in line with the style. Finish was semi-sweet to semi-dry. It was a pleasant treat, but not really aligned to its current style, IMHO. YMMV.

16 Oz can here at Pizza Boy. Cloudy hazy in the glass. Head disappeared quickly. I know it says with oranges but the initial taste is pure grapefruit to me. The orange and sweetness come through afterwards. Nice enough but not a special IPA.

Can dated 10/31/17 into pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy medium amber honey color with a coarse off-white head. Initial impression is a ton of orange, with an undelying caramel sweetness. The overall effect reminds me of orange soda, of which I was never a big fan. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy - maybe like an orange soda FLOAT? Finish is sweet and orangey, with a tiny lingering (aspartame-ish) bitterness. DIET orange soda float? Too sweet, too orange, too much. Not gonna revisit.

Al's of Hampden / Pizza Boy Brewing "White Bronco"
$6.50/pint on tap at the brewery on 11/17/17
Notes: Listed as "Milk Sugar IPA with orange". Slightly hazy dark gold body beneath a white head that shows average retention and lacing. The aroma is limited but displays sweet malt and orange. The flavor follow swith a moderate bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel with a medium maltiness but a dextrinous feels to it that leaves it smooth. Median carbonation.
