Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy, coppery, orange-gold color with just a thin cap of white head that had low retention and light lacing.
The aroma was mostly floral and pine hops, with just a bit of malt showing through. There may have been just a hint of weed as well, but I'm not sure. The flavor profile was pretty similar, a bit of malt supporting all those hop flavors. However there was a bit of a bitter citrus hop flavor, from the middle towards the back, that didn't show up in the aroma.
The body was just a bit fuller than average, and nicely smooth, except for the citrus/bitter on the finish. Drinkability was good, I could easily drink a few of these. Overall, another fine brew from NC. Not an exceptional example of the style, but one that is certainly worth your time. Take a trip to over NC and decide for yourself.
