Style: American Pale Wheat Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.20%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
We celebrated Bloomington Bikes Month and Bike-to-the-Brewpub Month in May with a very special beer release: 10-Speed Hoppy Wheat.

Slightly hazy and golden-hued, 10-Speed packs piney aromas, subtle tropical fruit nuances and a nice crisp finish. This American-style wheat offers a nice hop punch yet is still light and refreshing enough for a warm summer day. Enjoy it at the Bloomington Brewpub today.

A-cloudy yellow, carbonated, one finger head

S-very citrusy, tropical notes some wheat

T-good deal of wheat, citrus and tropical notes, grass as well, slight bitterness

M-medium bodied, slightly carbonated, mild hop resins

O- A solid Pale Wheat Ale. Brewed with mosaic hops, nice flavors. Another solid brew from BBC.

Woody, Resin, Bread, Spice

More of a “I could knock a few of these back.” wheat ale rather than a massive hop bomb that numbs your tastes buds in bitterness. 27 IBU’s from only Mosaic hops, yes this is a single hopped brew. Suggestions of pineapple skin, cedar, fresh cut grass, and nutty wheat. Hint of biscuity toasted malt within but the hop flavor leaves a soft blanket of dominance on the palate.

One of the first hoppy wheats I ever tried. Still in love with it to this day.

Cloudy, golden color.

Wheaty, fruity smell.

Well-balanced taste--sweet wheat nicely tempered by the hops, which are fruity.

Medium-bodied, good head retention.

Overall a great beer, one of my favorites in Southern Indiana.

Appearance: Cloudy golden, with thin wispy head of off white suds. Touch of lace in generic pint glass at local Beef O’Brady’s.

Nose: Tropical fruits and citrus hops. Delicious already, and outstanding already!

Taste: Wonderfully tropical. Not too bitter at all but with a heavy-duty hopped up presence. Nice body, plenty of flavor, wonderful beer! Would pick this one up if I could find it bottled!

Loads of pine, mango, grapefruit, and peach. This is the most refreshing and juiciest hoppy wheat beer I've had. I also think it's by far BBC's best beer. If only I lived closer to Bloomington. I'd drink this all the time. I do hope they start packaging this in 6 packs or 4 pack tallboys though.

First had poured from pint can into Weizen glass. This "Hoppy Wheat" drinks more like a slightly hopped-up Czech Pilsener than an American Pale Wheat Ale.

I had this beer at the Brewpub and it is fantastic. One of the best Spring/Summer/Fall beers I have ever had. I wish it was available all year. It tastes like pineapple, tropical fruit, pine resin, peach skin, grapefruit and nectarines

Cold and murky honey gold from the tap at the brewpub to a 12oz pilsner with a 1/2 finger white head with good retention.

aroma of citrus rind and tropical hops.

light bodied, big fruity hops, citrus, medium carbonation, super refreshing offering.

drinkable.
