A: A hazy yellow with a thin white head-didn't see thr pour, so can't comment much on that-a decent amount of active carbonation. Looked pretty much like a hazy pale ale.

S: Wet citrusy hops dominate, no malt whatsoever. Something sort of funny, almost minerally, that I attributed to the Montana water as well. A good strength, not weak, but not overwhelming.

T: Again, a wet citrusy hoppy taste and no malt. This is what bothers me about so many American Pales, that think that Pale means lots of hops, as in India Pale Ale. This is a good beer I guess, but too dominated by the hops.

M: Light and airy, smooth but the chill on it here makes it maybe a little too biting.

D: Very user friendly, especially if one likes hops. I can see why this was the only micro on tap at a place dominated by Coors and PBR. Not to mention the brewery was down the road.

a local brewery, beaver creek is just a newborn in what i concider to be a growing tradition in this area of wibaux MT.

A: poured into a growler it has a decent amount of carbonation from the pour...typical light amber color with small head that laces fast at the start and tapers off

S: the aroma is of a high hoppy and low malt. some fruit, and earthy tones.

T: tastes of a medium bitterness and grapefruit. the low malt helps

M: high corbonation and again the malt is on the low end. its all hops here

O: this is one of a variety from beaver creek, like most breweries there is a relationship and similarities between their other recipies. but as far as a pale ale, this is not a bad beer. its one that takes a while to convert the mad mass of coors and bud lovers. unofficially I give it a B

somewhat generic pale ale here, my first from these guys. its burnt orange color, short of copper, nice and clear, with a very short white lazy head in the shaker pint. it smells and tastes great from a hop standpoint, fresh and big, moderately bitter, with fruity hop flavors ranging from orange to peach, very pleasant in this regard. the malt is where i like it less, seems generic and dumbed down, almost extracty, consistent but too familiar, and there is a little more of it than there needs to be. more sweetness here all the way through than i usually like in the style, although for sure some of that is coming from the oils in the hops this time. carbonation is also a bit low, but there is a nice medium body to it, hearty enough for the fall in montana, and robustly flavored enough for a bowl of meaty spicy red chili, actually a very nice pairing. good not great, i have had far better pale ales from the area. a little tweak of the malt base would improve this, its lacking richness there. id like to try some of their other beers, looks like quite a few neat offerings!
