I have been going here for wine on and off but just began to notice their beer selection. It's very solid - most of the local craft suspects with a better than average % of Belgian and German imports. The beer consumes most of the coolers on the back wall with and entire row of shelves opposite for the single bottles (mostly 22s, 750s and 500 ml sizes). The staff is friendly and helpful and has expressed interest in growing the selection on the beer side - it looks to be paying dividends. Any place that stocks a Brazilian rauchbier (Eisenbahn) is worth a look. Prices are very reasonable. Good stop in the neighborhood.

Murray's Liquors is a great little store located in Newton Center; although the square footage of the store is small, they have an awesome selection of wines and beers.

The beer selection has been revamped and updated within the past several months and now includes an impressive variety of Belgian, Belgian style, and other foreign beers.

They have both wine and beer tastings weekly; I always attend the beer tastings but can rarely make it to the wine tastings. The sample selections are always good, and they don't hesitate to provide some of the higher quality products during these sessions.

The staff is knowledgeable and helpful with providing suggestions if you're at a loss about what to purchase; they're also friendly.

If you're ever in the area, you should definitely check the establishment out, especially on a Friday evening or Saturday afternoon.

Stopped by this place by luck visiting friends in Boston.

I've been to most of the top bottleshops in the city when I lived there but stopped at this store just because its on the corner of a block my buddy moved to.

The beer isle is fairly small, looks like a place for mostly for fine wine and liquor.

However, as someone who shops a decent amount it was nice to see them have stuff like DF Oude Gueze, Boulevard Rye on Rye, GD Chocolate Yeti, few other goodies that I like. Nothing that you've never seen before, but good selection.

Best part about this store was the fact that they owner saw what I was buying and inquired about my cellar etc. He went to the back and hooked me up with Bourbon County Coffee and some KBS.

Super glad I happened to be in the neighborhood.

I dont get to visit Boston much anymore but this seems like the type of place off the beaten path you may find a gem or two.

Upon entering the store, I asked the owner about Boulevard BBQ because I saw they had a bunch of Boulevard stuff. He told me that their limited allocations go really quickly. Which puzzled me as to how he could hook me up with a bottle of BCCS. Its likely that he stashed some for a hookup and I was lucky enough to be the recipient.

Cool Owner. Good selection. No its not Julio's but if you're in the area, its definitely worth a stop.
