Del Cerro Liquor was located next to Windmill Farms. It served as a very nice bottle shop, bistro, and wine shop. The beers were in coolers. The selection was quite nice, there were your standard local and imported craft beers along with some more harder to find beers. I didn't get a chance for a prolonged visit, but next time I'd like to peruse their selection with a more careful eye. They seemed to also carry an extensive selection of wines.

Very nice bottle shop.

Finally got a chance to get in and have a beer and food since they got the remodeling done.

A half dozen or so cold boxes line one wall loaded up with great beer. Opposite the doors are shelves stacked way high with more beer. Great selection of West Coast stuff, SoCal stuff I don't see around SD a lot (bootleggers for example), and tons of Belgian stuff. Prices are pretty good. A bit of caution though as they have a lot of beer sitting at room temp on the shelves and the store gets pretty hot in the summer. I did see some IPAs on the room temp shelves, so you may want to avoid those.

They have a nice seating area and mini bar with several fine beers on tap (Abyss was flowing in May!). Small menu with sandwiches, burgers, and small bites. I got some sliders and they were very tasty, well thought out arrangement, and seemed to be above average ingredients.

Service was good, friendly, and attentive. If you are in the area stop by and have a beer and do some shopping.

I'm the guy that took CalleNAK there, and everything he said is true. This place blows my mind. The funny thing is it is right across the street from SDSU.

I just went there the other day and they are really fixing up the place.

They got a great selection and great service.

The food is great.

This is just another gem to add to the Sun Diego list of great beer destinations and Beer.

Go Hamiltons, Small Bar, Linkery, Toronado, Jaynes, Stone, Greenflash, Lost Abbey, Pizza Port, Neghborhood, Alpine....
The list can go on.

this place is excellent. it seems to have begun as a wine shop, moved into craft beer, and then expanded a tasting room to include taps and a kitchen with some damn good food. imagine your favorite liquor store serving food and tap beer with plenty of seating and staff who LOVE to talk beer and wine, not to mention very knowledgeable...

the place is somewhat cavernous in the back due to the thin aisles and high shelves. the beer is along the right wall in coolers and across the aisle on shelving at room temperature. the tasting/dining area is a the front and spills outside along the walkway. very laid back and comfortable setting.

service was wonderful. the employees are drinking right along with the crowd, and sharing stories and laughs with the locals. there is a real sense of comradery there, which makes for a great experience.

selection was great. full lines of the local breweries, as well as many belgian and import options, with quite a bit of the more ubiquitous craft beer from around the country. everything that is out on the shelves at room temperature can be found insome form in the coolers.

overall, this stop is a bit out of the way, but more than makes up for the trip. very friendly staff, very fresh beer, and wonderful selection make this a must-visit for BAs new and old to the San Diego area. cheers!

Man this place is amazing. Can't believe I'm the first to review it. I haven't reviewed an establishment in a while but dusting it off for this place. First of all the bottle selection here is amongst the best around. They had Older Viscosity, Cuvee Tomme, Angel's Share, Consecration, and Temptation while I was there. I'm sure you can tell if they have those on the shelf it's a good indication they have many other goodies. They also have an impressive selection of wines and hard liquors as well. The employees were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

On top of the substantial bottle selection they have a café on site that sells a great selection of tapas, sandwiches and salads. They have at least eight impressive beers on tap that you can partake while you enjoy some food or just sit back on the patio and drink the afternoon away. While we had lunch there we had Black Butte XXI, Ballast Point Sour Wench Blackberry Ale, Hitachino's witbier, and AleSmith X. You can also drink bottles from the store for a "corking" fee and I believe on Tuesday's they wave the corking fee. On Wednesday's I think you can challenge them to a game of War to get a dollar off your pint too.

Glad my friend found this place and brought me here. Definitely worth a visit if you're in San Diego.
