I have a house in Prescott as of last year, so my wife and I went there for beer and noticed the deli and went for a burger on a sunday, and the drafts were half price and great beers too.the burgers were top notch , and we sat in the outside patio and was great. The liqueur store is indeed stocked with great choices in beer. Wine drinkers will love the selections as well.

I've been to Park Plaza Liquor & Deli twice during 2015, on two separate trips to Prescott, AZ, visiting my folks.

My first visit was January 2015 (before I dove head-first in to craft brew). My parents and I went there to have lunch. I had the Rasberry Chipotle Club with a side of sweet potato fries. FANTASTIC sandwich and GREAT fries!!!

Second visit was this past October 2015 (post initiation into craft brew). On this visit I had their version of the Reuben sandwich. While their "1K" dressing in this sandwich is an interesting "twist," it is also a FANTASTIC sandwich. Again, with a side of sweet potato fries. You gotta try these fries!!! Next visit I'm ordering two sides of fries with my sandwich (I'll drink more brew to cut the starch, Lol).

My dad had a Firestone Walker Double Jack with his lunch. My mom had a Firestone Walker Union Jack with hers. GREAT brews, both!!!

This IS a liquor store / deli. Please do not go in expecting "fancy, schmancy" decour, fine China, Riedel stemware, etc. This is a place to go relax with friends, watch whatever sport happens to be in season, have some good eats, and drink your favorite brew, wine, liquor, with your meal.

DO expect a FANTASTIC selection of craft brew!!! From all over the World!!!

The waitstaff for the deli operation performs a "first-rate" job, even when the place REALLY starts "hopping" on a Sunday afternoon!!!

The "self proclaimed" expertise of one of the liquor store staff I will call into question. He said. "Trust me. I know what I'm talkin' about. There's a reason why Kilt Lifter is the #1 craft brew in all of Arizona!" He didn't ask any questions regarding my developing tastes. Even so, I took him at his word. Kilt Lifter is, well, meh, IMO! My first "tick." Lol!!! I'll give this chap the benefit of the doubt.

All-in-all, this is definitely a "must stop" if you're a true BA and are anywhere remotely close to Prescott, AZ.

My next visit I plan on obtaining more stats about this establishment, and posting them in a later review.

During my vacation in Prescott, I looked for places that sold craft beer and this place had the highest I see why. When you walk in, you wouldn't think that they have a good selection, but once you venture towards the rear of the store, you run into a wall of fridges loaded with great craft beer.

After helping a girl find and oatmeal stout, the beer manager (I'm assuming) asked me if I needed any help. I told him that I was from VA and that I enjoy having access to beers that we do not get. We chatted a great length on different beers and what was coming out in the future. He asked if we got Firestone in which I replied, "Yes, but I have been unable to find Parabola and I'm sure that I missed out.". He said that he was hiding 6 bottles in the back. Needless to say, I walked away with 2 of them. :)

I certainly could go on about how great the staff is, but I'll let you find out for yourself. Don't make the mistake I did and go into the Liquor Barn across the street. Just look in the corner of the shopping center on the other side of the road.

Stopped here after a disappointing trip to the Costco World Market.

This is what I am talking about. Great beers, great selection, reasonable prices.

I picked up a mixed sixer of Green Flash, Flagstaff IPA, Hazed and Infused, Hop Ottin, Hop Czar, and Hop Rising for around $13.00.

Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and if the staff is busy the locals will help you out. One recommended the Flagstaff IPA.

I didn't try the food but I am sure I will next trip.

I would definitely come back for more.

Very nice selection of beer for such a small town. I was impressed to find Abyss, Mirror Mirror, Beer Geek Brunch, and many more in the cold case. They also have long running specials on some of the beers that are on or after their "Drink By" date. $3.99 for 1L of Pursuit of Hoppiness, Yes Please! I'll take 12. Dollar bombers of Deschutes Hop Trip, you just can't beat these deals.

They also have a great selection of wine, liquor, and cigars. Top that off with a deli, you have a one stop shop. For fifty cents, you can drink any beer right there in the store. Thats a smokin' deal, compared to the price of a corking fee at other restaurants. Service is tip-top with a knowledgeable and friendly staff.

So stop in, say hi, and have a brew. You won't be disappointed. See you there!

You would think someone would notice that there are two beer store destinations listed for Prescott on BA with the same address (both this place and the liquor barn). Have submitted a change, so hopefully the problem will be corrected... that being said...

Upon walking into the Park Plaza Deli and Liquor, one's initial reaction is not very positive. There is some cafe seating to the left, with a single cashier up front. Otherwise, there are rows of largely mediocre wine and a large liquor selection dominating the store. The beer is mostly in the back area... and that's where my ho-hum initial reaction came to an abrupt halt. The back area cold box is filled almost exclusively with craft and imports, and included the 2009 Abyss, Mirror Mirror, Life and Limb, Black Butte XXI, Port Brewing (old viscousity or Hop 15 anyone?), Slow Elk... suffice it say I was very, very impressed with the selection here.

Because this place has a cafe and deli, you can drink any beer you purchase on the premises. "Corkage" fee is just .50 cents, which means for just $12.49, you can enjoy the 2009 Abyss with your sandwhich.

Service here was pretty good, with the cashier knowledgeable about his inventory and conversant with the quality of the beers he sells. I mentioned that I was hoping to pick up some AB select 55 for a bad beer tasting I wanted to hold, and he was quick to agree that the select 55 clearly deserved to be in any tasting of lousy, flavorless beer. He mentioned that it had almost no flavor, and was essentially just carbonated water, which lead me to believe he'd sampled the swill himself.

What can I say? The Liquor Barn across the street is clearly a decent, solid place, but without a doubt this would be the place I'd shop for beer if I lived in Prescott. This place is impressive and is highly recommended. I'll be back.

I was visiting my Mother and stopped in to pick up some beer to drink. They had a lot of singles to choose from in the cooler. Just my luck, it was 10% off of mixed sixers. I'm not sure how their selection compares to what is available in Arizona, but for an out of towner, I found plenty of stuff I wanted to try. Lots of California, Colorado and local micros. Lagunitas, DFH, Port and Stone were some of the highlights for me. Regrettably, I didn't really check out the foreign section.

They have a deli and pizza as well. I didn't eat any food, but the guy behind the counter said you could drink beer or wine purchased in the store. That sounded like a good deal to me. Prices seemed reasonable. I didn't ask anyone beer related questions, but the one worker that I interacted with seemed eager and friendly.
