12 ounce can into a tulip glass. Had 7/26/23.

Pours a golden color, a little cloudy, with a two inch foamy head with very good retention and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of malt, wheat, light lemon, some citrusy hops. Smells a little grassy and floral. Flavors are similar- malt, wheat, light lemon, light citrusy hops, some yeast, a sneaky amount of hop bitterness, especially on the finish. Has a floral taste. Smooth, a good lighter body, well carbonated.

Surprisingly good. Complex and flavorful for the ABV. Holds up well to warming, too. Citrusy, floral and grainy with some hop bitterness. Nice.

One inch of head with a lemony pale gold color. The nose is pizza dough with some mild resinous scents leaking in. The taste is mild maltiness, mild spiciness, mild bitterness, everything tastes mild. The feel is mild as in light bodied. This is a very mild beer.

Hazy, dark gold color. Moderate head. There's an initial ring of lace but very little on the glass after that.

The smell has a blend of floral hop and black pepper. The malt is semi-dry but nevertheless slightly fruity.

The body is thinner than expected enhanced by the heightened effervescence. The taste matches the smell with a more dry than sweet malt base that still shows some dark berry elements. The finish brings some white pepper bitterness and leaves a moderate length aftertaste.

See through and lighter golden from a can with a big white head, this beer looks decent. Sweet citrus hops nose that’s deeper than I was expecting. Nose comes through on the flavor with a mild piney bitter edge and not much sweetness. Thinner and a bit watery dare I say. This is ok.

My first offering from this brewer and it was a good first impression...

Golden colored brew with frothy head, there really is no smell to this, just a distant hint of hops. Mouthfeel is carbonated but crisp and light make up for it, even though it had a metallic after twang that I found a tad disappointing. Taste - is solid enough, some hoppiness to go with a light (and I do mean light) taste of citrus. Overall, it's decent enough and warrants another look at what this brewer has to offer.

Its like SNPA but with more European floral bittering hops. I sharp breathe of fresh air compared to all other APAs that sit on the shelf surrounding it.

This is what I love about sly fox, they're genuinely talented brewers who don't chase fads. I've previously highly respected them for their traditional german beers so decided to pick up a mixed 12 pack today to try something new.

This beer solidifies to me that they are brewers who are passionate about quality, not style. Not that the both cannot be intertwined, as a "juicy" pale ale or IPA can most definitely be quality. But a quality English IPA or pale ale will seldom if ever today be in "style".

After this beer sly fox is high on my list of "try regardless of type of beer". And after 1200+ beers logged on BA and countless of top 250 trades that's an accolade to them. They've simply earned my respect like other consistent brewers - sierra nevada, bells, fatheads, prairie, schlenkerla, weihenstephaner etc.
