L - dark, toasted orange amber. Slight haze. Looks good!

S - piney hops and caramel malt sweetness. Fresh and floral.

T - lots of pine and caramel up front. Very aggressive. Has a distinct zesty sweetness. Bitter in the back.

F - prickly carb that bites back. Fluffs up easy when swished in the mouth.

O - solid DIPA. Nothing blows your socks off, but it's easy-drinking.

A: hazy; burnt orange in color; 2 finger light khaki head that receded to a patchy cap; OK lacing;

S: pineapple, grapefruit, and floral;

T: pine for a moment, then herbal; a hint of floral in the background; mildly bitter finish;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish; a little boozy, but it matches the beer well;

O: nothing stands out on it's own, but the totality is very enjoyable;

Nice little double. A bit malty for my taste, but not bad. Nothing special , but if you like a maltier DIPA this may be worth a go.

A: The beer is slightly hazy and a darker shade of amber, having a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface, a collar around the edge, and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy and piney hops are present in the nose along with hints of caramel malts.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that the flavors of piney hops are stronger and linger into the finish. The maltiness is also a little stronger, offering notes of caramel. The hops contribute a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite drinkable for its strength and does a very good job at masking any flavors of alcohol from the taste. The most pronounced property of this beer is the lingering flavor of dank pine in the finish.

Drank from a six day old growler.. It looked fresh, just specifying for context purposes. Not bad, not great. Pretty decent sweet malty undertone.

I guess every brewery has to have an IPA, and an imperial IPA. I am burned out on them. Mehh. I fail to see how it distinguishes itself from 100 other American IPAs that I've had. Is that what we are going for? Now I can get 100 IPA's that are all pretty close, I used to only be able to say that about Lagers.
