An unforgettable wheat ale brewed with German Pils and Wheat malts and Tradition hops, with 1 lb. of red and black raspberries per gallon of beer. This beer features a tart finish and a sugary sorbet aroma.

Pours a very thick looking ruby dark red color with a thick pinkish white head and a ton of lacing and carbonation streaming up everywhere. Smells like tons of tart raspberries, and some malts. Tastes of some intense raspberries and a bit of a watery flavor, not very good. Mouthfeel is medium and a little carbonation. Drinkability is okay, but it is not the best in the flavor department, just very one note.

Poured from a cork and cage bomber into a tulip
L: Pours a dark maroon color... semi-opaque with a finger of pinkish head leaves sticky lacing.
S: Straight up raspberries... raspberry sorbet.
T/F: Fairly bland in taste... mild raspberry flavor, lacking some of the sweetness I would have expected. Mildly tart. No flavor really stands out. Effervescent and dry at the finish.
O: Great smell... lackluster flavor. Not bad, but lacking much to recommend it either. Probably would not pick it up again.

Wow ! Better than what I expected for the Black Raspberry Reserve from the Sly Fox Brewing Company. Picked up a bomber at the Pottsville brewery and this was tasty for sure. This was very drinkable. As soon as the bottle is popped open, you get a major hit of raspberry. The color is no doubt , raspberry. Now , the taste is what blew me away. I was expecting fruit juice. I was wrong. Mouth feel is dry and tart. Once again, the abv of 8% is well hidden. A very solid fruit beer to say the least. A winner, from a super brewing company located in Pennsylvania.

Palate full, syrupy, lively carbonation

12/4...pours dark crimson red, purple tinted, with pink foam that fluffs up and sits at 1/4 inch. Deep fruity raspberry smell, hints of fruit punch. Stiff malt taste, stone bitter wall, fades into a fruity toast. Long finish. Pulpy bitter. Fascinating, not sure what to make of this, but really good.

25 oz bomber. best by Oct 2015
Pours a beautiful purplish-red with a white 1 finger head that slowly dissipates .
Smells like raspberries
Tastes like raspberries, a bit grassy. As the beer warms up there's the faintest hint of hops. Not a very sweet beer.
Mouthfeel is dry and tart.
Enjoyable if a bit one-dimensional.
