A: Clear deep orange with small and not much retetion and moderate lace.

S: Pine and earthiness dominate with some sweetness in the background.

T: Piney and some raspberry and grape fruity flavors.

M: Medium body that is slightly creamy with a crisp bitterness on the tongue and in the finish.

D: One of the easier drinking beers in the IPA Project. Interesting IPA made with a hop normally used for lager styles.

I was able to try this Sly Fox beer at the Spring House Drafting Room's Hopefest. They gave the location of the Phoenixville Sly Fox in their beer menu. It was served to me in a 10 oz. Pilsner glass.

This Sly Fox poured a bright yellowish amber color with a tiny head of white foam. I saw them pour the beer and it still didn't have much of a head of foam on it when it came out. Whatever was there had decent retention that only left behind a handful of white rings along the edge of the beer. If there was any lace, I failed to see it. It had a strong dried hoppy aroma of citrus hops, grapefruit, more citrus fruits, and some pine needles in the back. The taste was ver much the same, dry and hoppy. This time it featured citrus fruits, citrus hops, grapefruit, pine, and then it ended with orange peel. The orange peel at the end was a nice subtle touch. It was a medium bodied of beer that had a long lasting aftertaste of citrus fruits and hops, pine, and grapefruit. In the end, it's a good IPA from Sly Fox. It's worth a shot if you can try it. The only problem I had with it was the appearance. Everything else was great!
