I have not conventionally been into big massively-hopped bitter beers but, this is a respectable brew with some nice fruity pineapple flavor nuances...
not something you want to pound all night with a 7.5% ABV but one or two are nice with some food or to get the night started...

From the bottle, it pours a clear yellow amber with a modest, soon diminishing to a thin layer and it leaves lacing. In the nose, it doesn't give me much, pine predominates. The mouth gets a a bit of funk, mostly. Oddly attractive....

From a 12 oz bottle from the Throwback series. Belgium style IPA, similar to a session IPA. Lovely mouth feel. Smells delicious, malty, fruity, with a floral hint.

-Belgian inspired ipa served in a spiegelau vessel.
A: Bright orange coloring, with a good clarity, has a soft, and slow rise of effervesce, medium density. A solid, foamy capping is firm in its stance, lacing is minimal.
S: Sweet and spicy hops combine with a small Belgian yeast funk. Some wet lemons, finished off by some funky, green melon fruit. Light to medium range intensity, quickly dissolving stamina.
T: Musky flowery hops, touch of tart lemon and toasted grain for flavor. Muksy citrus, dry catty flowery hops, with the biggest moment arriving shortly after the swallow. Better late then never. Nice toasted malting, belgian influence is soft, yeastiness is restrained, some musky nature.
M: Body seemed a bit thin at the start, water, with a carbonation factor that really doesn't come through or add texture or life. Frothy and washy feel. One of the low points of this drink.
O: Aptly named with some musky and catty flavors, offers only a small introduction into the world of Belgian ipa and hardly stands among the most notable. Biggest sense of hop flavors come on the dry finish of the swallow. Mouthful I felt was a weak point lacking body and crispness.

Poured from a bottle into a glass.
Clear and golden. Citrus and grassy hop aroma. Nice hop bitterness that is significantly lower and more palatable than a typical IPA. Some fruity notes. A malty finish. Slightly sticky.
