Just had this for first time yesterday
Bottle into a glass
Color is gold
Smell is citrus hops
Taste is mostly hops. Not so much malt balance here, but does not devolve into dish soap.
Mouthfeel is not oily or heavy in any way
Overall, if you want a good hop bite in a beer that is lighter overall and therefore session material, this isn't bad.

I live in VA. Have had their lager multiple times. Awful. Had the IPA on tap few months ago and thought it was pretty good. Decided to give these folks another chance and bought a 12pc on sale. Drinkable but not great. Pine, resinous aftertaste. Weird. Still can't figure how this brewery does so well. Then again I don't know why there is an Applebee's in every town either....

From the bottle this was not my favorite IPA. The smell and initial flavor is pretty thick and malty but also very bitter, hops were present but were a bit hidden in the flavor of this beer. To me it had no standout flavor, but I know plenty of people that like it and will give it a second try at some point.

Poured into a nonic a clear medium golden with a sticky half finger white head that left a broken thick ring of lace behind as it settled very slowly.Lighter leafy and citric hops in the nose, more leafy than anything,a bit of toast and caramel malt as well.I really like the subtle hop complexity to this beer, almost every quality of a a hop comes through in the flavor profile.Apricot and mango notes along with leafy/minty flavors that meld into a grapefruit rind flavor, all over top of a caramel biscuit base,it's even a little boozy for how "small" iot is.A pretty solid IPA from the commonwealth to the north, pretty complex and flavorful.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Very sudsy, lots of stickage on the glass. Bright deep golden hue. Pithy aroma with piney and herbal overtones. Assertive bitterness, smooth with a slightly creamy body. Dry cracker-like maltiness, grainy with a hoppy citrus pith and rind flavor. I can see the balance here, a good IPA overall but no real wow factor. Most certainly worth a go as it could be a go to beer for anyone that likes hops.

12 oz bottle
Quite typical presentation, almond Amber, near clear, lite khaki cap, leaving some low froth and ringed sheeting.
Resin hop nose
Middle of the road and respectable IPA...nothing special...but this is drinkable and tastes like a million other IPAs, nothing here really standing out

Pours gold, with minimal head and low carbonation. Taste is citrus rind, husk, and light malt backbone. A well crafted sipper. I have other American IPAs that I prefer, but this is solid.

L: Pours brilliant copper gold under a 1” white foam cap that dissipates moderately fast. Produces medium levels of lace. S: Tropical fruit, citrus, mint, vegetal. Hop aromas medium to medium high, malt aromas low, clean fermentation character. T: A light, fruity sweetness starts the drink embellished with traces of caramel. It has medium to medium low malt and a clean yeast character. Medium light fruit hop flavor. Medium high bitterness with an assertive, lingering bitter finish with a slight astringent aspect. F: Medium to medium light body, medium carbonation O: An assertive, hop forward bitter elixir.
