Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is bursting with pear, sweet. Taste is nothing like the aroma. Grassy, grains, pear is present but not overpowering, no sweetness. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer. It's nice to see a pear beer, as I think it is the most underrated fruit.

Poured into pint glass. It pours a clear amber with one finger of milk-white head and lacing. There is discernible pear on the nose, along with grass and biscuit. The taste features tangy pear, bready malt, and a touch of earthy hops at the finish. It is medium-bodied, pleasantly carbonated, and very easy to drink at 4.8% ABV. I drank this at about 9 months after bottling and wish I had it fresher. Overall, it's a pleasant-drinking pear-forward beer.

Pours clear, light yellow in color with 1/4 inch head. Is perhaps the most pear forward non-Belgian beer I have had. Taste is big pears and light lager, grass, and slight earthy hops. Nice light and enjoyable. Different in a good way. I would get this again.

Poured from a bottle into a glass.

Overall: Pear Lager is not just fruity in name: it really is a prominent part of the profile. But not so overdone that it turns gimmicky and loses its beerness. Pleasantly surprised since the idea of fruit beer does not really appeal to me.

Look: Brassy straw yellow. Some lacing.
Smell: A little like a hard cider. Hard to say it's a pear smell, but at least a fermented fruity cider.
Taste: Follows the cider-like smell, but with a more identifiable pear presence. Fruity tannin. Then the biscuity malt pops in. Nice balance of malty backbone and fruity overtones that finish with a mellow sweetness.
Mouthfeel: medium to light body. Moderate carbonation.

A: Pale golden straw, clear, wi half a finger of head. No lacing.

S: Bread, a hint of pear, and faint spice (ginger?)

T: Malt is a little breads, no sweetness at all. A hint of pear, but not much. Just a touch of tangy, bitter hops, but it doesn't linger.

M: Moist, with decent carbonation. A good thirst quencher.

O: Not bad, but not memorable either. Good on a hot day, and very sessionable. Just kind of short on taste. They dialled down the hops, but didn't add enough pear to make up for the lack of flavour.

Pours straw color with foamy head that dissipates quickly.

smell is grainy with some pear. Taste is grainy, almost like an AAL, with pear with a nice balance of sweet and tart to start. Feels light, with strong carbonation, but feels a little sticky. Overall, worth trying, but not a huge fan.

This is a pretty nice fruit beer. The pear character is upfront and clean, but the body isn't too thick or the finish sweet. I'd recommend it to a friend that doesn't really like beer, or anyone that loves pears.

Nice gold color. White head that disappears quickly. Nose like cider, and not surprisingly smells strongly of pear, with basic lager smells beneath. Taste follows suit: mild lager, with pear on top. Mouthfeel smooth but unexceptional. Bottled 2/25/2016.
