Poured into a Rastal Pint glass. I like that the coffee in this is not overpowering. The carbonation is a little higher than my ideal preference but the flavor is pretty decent for the style.

2018 release from a 22-oz bomber. An imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels, then blended with a milk stout and infused with cold-brewed coffee. The end result is a stellar concoction, with all the elements coming through singly but also blending with great balance. Moderately low carbonation serves it well, too, helping to produce a very smooth sipper.

This beer pours a very dark brown color. The head is tan, and 1 finger. The retention isn't the best, and there's a bit of lacing on the glass.
The nose has a nice mellow coffee aroma. There's also a slight alcohol aroma to it.
Taste - It has a nice coffee flavor up front. On the bac there's a slight alcohol burn to it.
Feel is quite full bodied, and the coffee, and alcohol does linger for a long time.
Damn solid beer overall, and I do recommend it.

this is exceptional beer, a cool blend of a barrel aged imperial stout and a dry irish one, spiked with good coffee and really one of the better executions of this sort of thing i have had in some time, smooth and complex, rich yet drinkable, just super well made and unique. i loved it. syrupy and thick from the tap, near black and coating the sides of the glass. a nice inch and a half or so of sturdy mocha head sits on top. strong fresh brewed drip coffee is the first thing i smell, with sweet but quality whiskey in behind it and a lot of dark roasty malt, bitter like the coffee but fermented dry by this european smelling yeast it seems. woody and charry too here, lots of low end, lots of chocolate to this in nose and flavor too. coffee and vanilla up front, chocolate and roast in behind, brownie and good high cocoa chocolate bar, even hot chocolate. there is something about this beer, like it would be good hot, the fresh coffee and the warming whiskey making that so. a little boozy but in the way i want in an irish coffee, and rich without being too sweet. this is great stuff, really different and good, one of my favorites from these guys so far. perfect for saint pattys time and amazing in the morning!

Pours black. Foamy, medium, light brown head that is short lived.

Smells roasted malts, chocolate and light coffee.

Tastes roast malt, light coffee, dark chocolate, light vanilla and sweet cream. Finish is semi dry with coffee linger. Medium body and creamy, smooth, medium carbonation.

Poured out a jet black color with a small, light-brown head of foam. It smelled of whiskey, roasty coffee and toffee. Nice roasted coffee flavor with a boozy, whiskey flavor.

Look: Black
Smell: Not very heavy on the coffee aroma, albeit this particular bottle has been in my fridge for some time
Taste: Coffee for sure, almost finishes with a bourbony note, almost like it has been in contact with some kind of dark alcohol
Feel: A little on the thin side for my preference in terms of being defined as a milk/sweet stout, but still has a great stout mouthfeel.

I think this is Lift Bridge's best and most flavorful beer by far.

Look: Purchased in 22 oz. bottle. Wears it's stouty blackness with pride, no light through allowed...smile. 1/4 to 1/2 inch tan head if poured aggressively down the middle, that disappears with a fine lacing you see at every sip you take

Smell: rich coffee tones, hints of molasses, burnt notes,

Taste: rich coffee notes, hints of whiskey, taste follows nose, rich full taste of coffee and lactose, but finishes with with stern bitterness and complexitiy

Mouth feel: good medium mouth feel, bit thin but rewarding for slow drinkers

Overall: very good beer, I'd buy again many times. Serious enough to stand up to a variety of rich foods with it's tapering, bitter finish. a great beer to enjoy slowly over conversation.

Look: pours a dark brown, fingers worth of light khaki head

Smell: coffee, slight whiskey, sweet chocolate and a slight roast

Taste: all the flavors and more. Pretty dang tasty

Feel: medium to medium full mouthfeel, little drying or bitterness to it. I could go for a slightly thicker mouthfeel.

Overall: this is an excellent beer worth seeking out in the metro.
