Look: Black
Smell: Not very heavy on the coffee aroma, albeit this particular bottle has been in my fridge for some time
Taste: Coffee for sure, almost finishes with a bourbony note, almost like it has been in contact with some kind of dark alcohol
Feel: A little on the thin side for my preference in terms of being defined as a milk/sweet stout, but still has a great stout mouthfeel.

I think this is Lift Bridge's best and most flavorful beer by far.

Look: Purchased in 22 oz. bottle. Wears it's stouty blackness with pride, no light through allowed...smile. 1/4 to 1/2 inch tan head if poured aggressively down the middle, that disappears with a fine lacing you see at every sip you take

Smell: rich coffee tones, hints of molasses, burnt notes,

Taste: rich coffee notes, hints of whiskey, taste follows nose, rich full taste of coffee and lactose, but finishes with with stern bitterness and complexitiy

Mouth feel: good medium mouth feel, bit thin but rewarding for slow drinkers

Overall: very good beer, I'd buy again many times. Serious enough to stand up to a variety of rich foods with it's tapering, bitter finish. a great beer to enjoy slowly over conversation.

Look: pours a dark brown, fingers worth of light khaki head

Smell: coffee, slight whiskey, sweet chocolate and a slight roast

Taste: all the flavors and more. Pretty dang tasty

Feel: medium to medium full mouthfeel, little drying or bitterness to it. I could go for a slightly thicker mouthfeel.

Overall: this is an excellent beer worth seeking out in the metro.

this one does marry the three parts - barrel, milk, and coffee - quite nicely. all of them are noticeable to some degree in the nose and taste. coffee dominates the aroma. taste is vanilla and coffee with noticeable sweetness; the barrel comes in at the end, which is kind of nice considering how many times barrel-aging tends to overwhelm the base beer.

i wouldn't want more than the bomber, and i could just as well have shared this one, but it's well done for what it is.

Smell is of whiskey, cinnamon, vanilla, and chocolate milk. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, cream, slight alcoholic heat, with lactose sweetness on the finish. A little thin on the mouthfeel. Overall, a good stout, but not a very good barrel-aged stout.

Reviewed from notes. Pours black with a thin coffee-colored head which fades to the rim and leaves spotty lace. Aroma roasted coffee, malt and dark chocolate. Flavor follows the nose. Smooth and creamy finish.
