Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Best by 11/7/17.

Appearance: rich, dark amber-golden hue with a finger of frothy dark-ivory foam atop, A deep, dark IPA; I like it.

Smell: quite malty with a fair bit of biscuit; hops are earthy and a bit piney; there's almost a cedar-y quality here. It's OK; I prefer a bit less biscuit in my malt.

Taste: sweet up-front with more piney, earthy hop flavor and a moderate bitterness. The bitterness does build after several sips, but it's offset by that large sweetness, which I think is a bit too much.

Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: not a bad beer, but it's a bit too sweet for my taste. They accomplish a pretty good body for an IPA, though.

Awesome sudsy lacing like a crown on top of this copper colored IPA. Smells exceptionally malty in a rich kind of sweet mahogany and molasses way. Taste is right on point, sweet, tasty malt done right. A little hint of cocoa or something. The hops open up more as the beer gets warmer. A resinous, deep piney, citrus, sap sort of taste. Bitter on the end in a classic IPA way. Sometimes malt can signal an off flavor when used too heavily in an IPA, but this is perfectly enjoyable. A moderate finish, slightly dry at first but I don't find myself dry mouthed like some IPA's. Great take on the style.

Dark amber pour with an impressive pillow top head, with thick splotched lacing to follow. There's not as much to the smell as I would hope. For an IPA, this beer forefronts it's sweet and hearty malts. After a few sips, the smell begins to open up a bit and reminds me of nutrient rich soil. Overall, surprisingly fantastic and the way malts should be treated.

12 oz. Can

Pours a nice yellowish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a nice small thick/creamy off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with some citrus. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy. Medium body, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty brew.

Nice texture on this. Not too intense, but good carbonation. Nutty. Crisp. Firm. Unsweetened Nutella. Good chestnut color. Subtle bitterness on the tongue.

A bold red up to the light...hmm....half finger of off white soapy head. Lots of carb rising and some pretty nice lacing down the glass. Lots of caramel and what I would call varnish in the aroma, weird. Minor citrus and faint pine. Taste is much nicer than the aroma but this definitely ain't a hop bomb. Lots of caramel malt, quite sweet, followed by a bit of citrus, and a mild lasting bitterness. Feel is good with average carb, dry, and medium body. It looks almost like a red IPA, too balanced in the flavor, and too weird in the aroma.

Clear, bright amber colour. Head is massive and pillowy and leaves great lacing and refuses to reduce.

Flavor is rounded out but still bombastic. Reminds me of flak gun footage from ww2; malt and hop bursts exploding in the sky. The malt is quite commendable - it's sweet and bready. The hops are varied provided pine spices and light tropical notes. Very smooth overall.

Recommended.

The classic look and smell of an IPA. Some dankness and citrus had a malt finish. Well carbonated with a good amount of pine/citrus hops. An ordinary IA in a filed of so many this is good but not good enough.

This pours malty brown in color. Rustic orange and a hint of grass, flavor has a drying finish. Had from a can a buddy brought back from Colorado. Thanks, man!
