Poured from a 12oz can that's slightly expired unfortunately by 8 days (6/14/22)

On the pour an enormous 4+ finger head forms making this pour almost like a slow pour pils, topping up every so often as the head very slowly recedes back below the top of the glass. As the head becomes older it maintains its peak above the top of the glass once I finally managed to get all 12OZs into the glass. It wants to lace but isn't quite there. Lots of fine lazy carbonation rises through the body which is a light golden color with a slight haze that you can almost read through.

Aroma is like a cross between a blonde ale and a traditional helles with a slight citrusy floral hit from light hopping, clearly some aroma and flavor hopping as opposed to just bittering hops. Behind that is a pretty traditional lager yeast which is quite clean which is good for the style although very faint esters are present, they are faint. Behind that to round it out is a sweet crackery traditional light malt aroma.

Flavor is similar to the smell but the hops lose their citrus notes and fade into the background to add a light amount of grassy floral notes as well as a mild but present bitterness before being overtaken by a traditional crackery slughtly sweet, crisp, and clean lager flavor. Simple clean slightly sweet and high quality.

Feel is refreshing while maintaining a good body and mouthfeel. Head makes it almost creamy while co2 bite reminds you this is a refreshing drink, and it has quite a bit of presence on the palate, bit it is very smooth. This is quite enjoyable. Very balanced feel while maintaining a light but big enough vibe.

Overall this is one of the more impressive "lagers" made by more mainstream craft breweries. A lot of these are trying to be better bud or coors, but this feels more like a take on a German Style almost with some nice American malts and hops.

Nicely made American style lager...excellent clarity...sweetish aroma of baked breads...flavor brings a nice bready maltiness with just a touch of spicy hops.

Not really an AAL I don't think as I don't think they use any adjuncts. But for a basic easy drinking lager this is really enjoyable...kind of a helles/pilsner hybrid. Would be a nice BBQ beer. Easy drinking with enough character and flavor to keep things interesting.

From variety 12 pack. Can has best buy date of 11/23/21, poured on 12/22/21.
LOOK: Pours a bright and very clear pale straw color with a slightly less than pure white head that maintains fair retention
and some nice lace.
AROMA: Some faint bread, dough malts and grass.
TASTE: Clean refreshing and simple lager with just enough mild malt flavor to make it a worthy lager.
A good warm weather beer.

12oz can with a best by date of DEC 21 21, opened 11-26-21.
1" white head that falls quickly then holds on at 1/4". Light and slippery lacing.
Pale straw gold with very good clarity and visible streams of carbonation.
Sweet grainy perfume. Some hop spice. Flavor and aroma are similar, simple and mild.
Light body with medium carbonation. Quick finish with a bit of sweetness.
Good.

24oz can poured into Duvel tulip. A printed date or something smudged up the bottom and side of the can. Probably some kind of misprint... well I'd sure as heck want to assume.

Appearance - Pours one finger white sudsy head with decent lacing, stick, and retention. Light to medium clear gold body. 4.5

Smell - Very corny malt. 4.5

Taste - Strong corny maltly lager with some slight sharpness that quickly fades away. No aftertaste. Maybe something round and malty but clean. 4.25

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied. Clean. A moment of sharpness in a sea of roundness. 4.25

Overall - The can says 'bright, fresh, easy' and I have to mostly agree. Other than that momentary sharpness that peeks through, it lives up to the claims. 4.25

Again, although gaining experience I don't feel qualified to give 5's, you should be able to smash this one, definitely recommend if new to craft lagers

When poured from a can into a tulip glass a 2F head forms and settles with minimum lace into a thin shiny foam cap. Color is 100% transparent pale yellow showcasing nice effervescence.

My nose detects light fruity banana and yeast.

Taste kicks off with a nice hit of fruitiness and a light touch of banana and yeast notes. The hops seem very light that are not bitter but enough to keep the malt from getting too sweet. the yeast shows up on the dry finish.

This has a silky smooth texture with good carbonation to keep it clean and not sticky, just a bit thick on the back of the mouth. There is maybe some light spice like coriander, a touch of minerals, and maybe a whiff of alcohol on the finish.

This is a crushable beer. This is a nice departure from the IPAs I have been tasting and light enough to refresh without getting all watery.

L - golden, amber, see-through lager crystalline beauty. A little head, not much lacing.
S - Good waft of crisp cracker, a little dough, admittedly a bit muted compared to other good lagers at this weight.
T - This is a solid palate-pleaser for lager lovers; nothing amiss. Cracker, tang, dough, with just a tad of bite - keeps it interesting.
F - Good mouthfeel, solid palate impression, decent after-taste.
O - One of Upslope's better 'classic' beers - not quite their Brown Ale (which forever has my heart) but a really good buy, and a very good lager for hot days. Think I like their German-style Pils at this ABV weight, but this is good stuff.

Poured from a freshness dated 12 oz. can: clear and bright golden hue with a sustained, foamy white head. The "best by" date is March 13, 2020, so this is fresh.

The aromas remind me of a well-made European lager with hints of noble hops and sweet hay.

Very fresh tasting indeed: sweet, cracker-malt with nice, subtle hops to keep the flavor refreshing and noncloying. It is far from complex, but the crisp and dry flavor profile keeps it interesting.

The lager has a surprisingly well-rounded mouthfeel and a very clean palate.

It is always good to see the Micros tackling the lager style - in this case quite successfully. It is unfortunate that this may be the last beer I will enjoy from Upslope as the only establishment carrying their beers in my area is closing.

Pours a slightly opaque straw gold. Thin head that sticks around. Crackers pils malts on the taste and aroma, along with a good amount of bitterness and subtle spicy hops. Clean, refreshing, but also flavorful, you would he hard pressed to find a better American pale lager/pils.

12 oz can dated BB 11/14/18. Poured into Budweiser shaker pint :-D

Appearance is right on cue. Crystal clear straw-gold with just enough "gold" to give it some deep pop. The head is creamy and 1/2 finger, and recedes to a fingernail and stays there. Swirls of the glass leave brief sparse semi colons all around the glass.

The aroma brings the typical sweet malt profile of creamed corn, flaked corn, and barley, but adds a beautiful element of "dark peach" to the equation.

Man! I forgot what it was like to drink easy beers. There's not much to ponder, you just want to slam it down. It's delicious, in a simple way. To sip it slowly would be a shame. There's some apple pie right off the bat, followed by some flaked corn, slight celery, then a really nice toasted bread finish. Slight corn sweetness and plain cereal on the finish.

Feel is crisp and effervescent (haven't used that word in awhile), with a discomforting starchy cling that hangs on at the finish. Probably the beer's biggest flaw.

Overall, as an ADJUNCT LAGER, this beer excels. It's a fantastically flavorful, clean, delightful treat. Would I drink it every night? No, I don't typically drink lagers. But it stands up there with some of New Glarus' great lager offerings that implement those nice fruity flavors and toasted bread notes. Almost zero bitterness. Not watery. Easy to drink. I'd send some in a trade but people look down at lagers (don't judge a can by its style). Pretty damn decent for what it is.

On-tap @ The 1up LoDo in Denver, CO.

Straw yellow with lively carbonation that keeps its white head in tact. Not much to speak of in the aroma but some faint grainy malt and floral hops. Clean, mild flavor that's inoffensive but lacks much character. Its dry finish with a medium-light body makes for an easy sipper.
