I stopped by today to see what all the local beer advocates were talking about. I was greeted upon entering by one of the co-owners named Mike, who asked if I needed any help finding anything or had any questions. I quickly checked out the whole place then returned to the beer nook. It is by far the best selection in or around the Keene area to date. Mike noticed that I was interested in the brews and came over and started chatting. He asked if I was looking for any beer they didn't carry, or had any insight as to what I thought could be a seller. He told me that they will be hosting beer and wine tastings once a month, and showed me to the email signup sheet and gave me his card. The only thing I'd like to see more of is beer from all around New England, to go with the local theme.

Overall: 24 carrots is a great place to stop if you are in or around Keene. The selection can just get better.

If you're anywhere near Keene, and love beer, 24 Carrots is definitely a place you should visit. Great selection of beers you usually can't find anywhere in New Hampshire, with an emphasis on Belgians and excellent craft beers. Michael and Barbara are fellow beer lovers, very knowlegable and extremely friendly. I always stop in when I'm in the area :)

And they do have more than beer! 24 Carrots is a great little grocery, specializing in fresh local produce and out-of-the-ordinary products - and some oddities like bison meat and yogurt made from buffalo milk. They even have a good selection of wine.

Been to Swanzey several times to visit good friends. Always felt NH was not a great place to look for beer outside of what is produced in the state. A friend mentioned she found this place and we looked up on BA, and 10 minutes later we were walking into the place! Very deceiving from the outside, but inside found a nice selection of beer. Dogfish, Stone, Smuttynose and more. The selection is small but in talking to the owners it sounds like this is only the start. He wanted a place where he could sell good beer since it was tough to find in the area. Very good service and they know beers. Check this place out when in the area and give them support. Whenever we are in town, we sure will!

Just found this place. Thee are not may options in SW nh and was pleasantly surprised. Picked up Some Dogfish Head and Rogues. The DFH Palo Santo Maron is pretty tasty. The service was very cordial and knowledgeable . Ill be back. Thanks.
They also had at the time of my visit some Chimays,Allagash, and a few other belgians (I forget but I am drinkinbg a Rogue as I type this so I have an excuse for my memory. They just had a beer tasting there and had a good turnout. I am sure they are planning more, Hope to catch one. It seems like they are open to suggestions anbd will try to get you what they can within reason.

Like the others that have reviewed this place, it nice to have a little gem like this in the area. After learning about this place through BA, and not having gone there myself yet, I told some of my friends about it. They quickly made a trip over there to return pretty impressed with both the selection available for a in an area like ours and the service. Once I had a little money to spend i dropped in after work. Barbara, one of the owners was working, and she was more than friendly and we chatted a bit about the beers. I was looking for the Pennichuck RIS, which they didn't have, but was told that since I was interested that she would try and have it by the end of the following week if it was available....AWESOME. I'll certainly be making many many many return trips.

Southern New Hampshire is not an easy place to find high quality beers. The good news is: Things are getting better. In the past year, the selection here in New Hampshire has been very much improved. Even the Supermarket's are getting stocked.

I live in West Swanzey, so you can imagine my surprise when I learned from a fellow BA that there was a really good selection of brews just down the road from where I live, in the guise of a Farmstand! THe selection mostly concists of Rogue, Pennichuck and a variety of Belgian's (the on'e available to NH) and a big surprise with a 6-pack of Belgian's from the global Beer Network! now, that's what I like to see.

24 Carrot's is bran new, so the selection will only improve with time. Check it out!!

24 Carrots is a farmstand/grocery start opened in the Fall of 2008. In Southwestern NH, where finding a good selection of quality beer was difficult, 24 Carrots is starting to fill that void. A great selection of Rogue, Ommegang, Unibroue, and importable Belgians, that seems to get bigger and more diverse every time I go in there.

Mike and Barbara are the owners, and are wonderful. I have requested beers, and if they are available in NH (I was told by a rep that NH is the second hardest place to sell beer...Live Free...but drink only big beer companies) they will get them in.

For a NH beer store, this place is the bomb.
