Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with an off white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light stringy sliding lace. The aroma had some sweet and roasted nuts up front and then a light dose of caramel/toffee malts flowing underneath. Light earthy hop. The flavor was moderately sweet with the roast of the nuts and malts coming through fairly nice. Slight milk chocolate smoothness rolling through the aftertaste and on into the finish. The palate was almost medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. ABV felt good and it came across super smooth rolling all around my tongue. Overall, really super nice brown ale well worthy of having again.

Listed as Nut Brown Ale at Bube's, but this entry already existed and it seems apropos. Served at the Biergarten.

A: The ale is a deep brown color, resembling a tall glass of freshly brewed unsweetened tea. The head was minimal despite significant carbonation.

S: The nose is sweet, living up to the brown ale moniker. Toffee and caramel malts create a sweetness that is paired nicely with a dry nuttiness.

T: This is a thick sweet ale. The toffee and caramel malts are strongest up front, blanketing the palate with a strong flavor that finishes long. The malts go further and create a nutty flavor that matches the sweetness with dryness. Some bittering hops nicely accentuate the malts with a kick of flavor.

M: Sweet, almost too sweet, with caramel and nuttiness abounding.

D: A good pint, I could drink a pint or two. The flavors are strong but do not overwhelm the tastebuds.
