Notes: Collaboration with Brouwerij Oud Beersel

Double dry-hopped IPA blended with a young lambic.

After the success of our first collab, we played with new ideas, and well it didn’t take too long to get some lambic in our IPA. Super refreshing and tart, but still hoppy and fruity, tropical as well as funky. The best of both worlds.

Pours an unclear orange with fine, wispy foam.

Smell is fruity with notes of lemonade, apricots and peach candy, with some floral notes in the back.

Taste is a lot like lemonade to start, and pretty tart. Notes of green apples, grapefruit and peaches comes in before a very hoppy, slightly bitter wave comes in. The tart and bitter marry very well and the balance is impeccable. Long, dry finish.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, I could see this beer really divide opinions. I personally loved it.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a murky orange with quickly dissipating head. Nose if full of pine, spice, mint, orange peel. Taste is bitter upfront. Mostly getting IPA flavors, not lambic. No sourness. Hops are dominant on the taste. Lots of pine, floral notes, herbs, wood, funk, and citrus peel. Mouthfeel is light and dry. Overall, a nice collab, but seems like an IPA. Would have expected more of a hybrid.
