It's a grocery store, staff isn't very familiar with beer. Selection is pretty amazing for a grocery store, but it's no Village Beer Merchant.

I pick up most of my home beer here while food shopping. Great selection for a grocery store. The 'Craft your own six-pack' is nice for trying different things, though there typically isn't anything too exotic or unusual on that shelf. Good prices.

I have to say that this store sets a very high standard as far as selection and price go. Found in the back of the store, their beer is organized by the location of the Brewery. From the Americas to Europe and to Asia. They also carry seasonal beers not found in the other local supermarkets. You are practically guaranteed to find the perfect and fresh beer for yourself. In addition to their Six packs, there are also individual beers, as well as a nice selection of corked beers. Another mention on price is that they also have sales on some beers, despite their already low prices. Wegman's is definitely worth stopping at if you're in the area.

this wegmans is a great place to find some decent bottles at decent prices. they call it the world of beers, its advertised all over the front of the store. they have a huge long shelf of beer as well as cold beer in a walk in kooler. all their beer goes in order from each state for all the american beers, and a great selection of foriegn beers. their selection of american beers is so-so, but they have a great selection of foriegn beers, lots of belgians as well. close proximity to downtown, as well as the elmwood area which offers a lot of great bars.

Although I usually purchase my beer from Consumer's on Elmwood or Premier on Delaware, this Wegmans store is fast becoming a great place to pick up some of your more exotic beers. It also helps that the wife and I shop here once a week so I have lots of time to go through their selection and pick out a few good bottles to take home. Pretty decent amount of belgians, unibroue and ommegang products. In fact, all of the major and minor NY breweries (flying bison, ellicottville, southern tier, middle ages, brookyln, saranac, ithaca, cbc, the afore-mentioned ommegang, etc..) are well represented. Decent selection of other US beer as well. You can also imports from England, Ireland, Japan.
Prices are on par or even cheaper than Premier and Cosumer. No growlers, only bottles (4 and 6 packs) and bombers. I am pretty sure that most of the Wegmans in this area have this new beer section (Maple road does for sure) so if you are looking for beer in Buffalo area and intend to buy some food products, this is a great place to stop.

Much lower prices near the Canadian border. Come here first. A few minutes from Cole's and Mr. Goodbar, this welcome supermarket is a good place to stock up. 20% off what you would also find at Village or at Premiere. The other two Buffalo main stores may be more convenient from the border, but this is your last stop if you are anywhere near the Art Gallery, downtown, or Cole's. Two expanding to three piled high colums of shelves. Few singles, but maybe that's coming if we keep mentioning it. Wegmans is "getting it".
