Stopped in for brunch today, nice atmosphere with kind of an old style lounge feel to it. There is a long bar and some booths in the main area, and then more tables and some pool tables in back. Staff was very friendly. This is definitely food focused, but the beer list is very nice. Around 40 bottles, with almost all of them (over 30) being local. Only 2 taps, but while I was there they were both Oskar Blues offerings. Food was great - relatively simple offerings made with high quality ingredients - seems to fit the gastropub ideals perfectly. They also have a nice happy hour - with $2 bottles of Colorado microbrews.

High quality. Practically all beers are locals and the selection is great. The food is outstanding with a specialization in french fries. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. If you’re a local, then you’ll want to make this a weekly stop. If you’re not, then you’ll want to put it on your list each time you visit Denver.

Jonesy's is located on the north side of the city near Benedict Fountain Park on E 20th Ave. There is parking on the street in the nearby areas.

There is a small patio, while on the inside there is a bar on the left side and a few booths opposite. There is also a separate room for additional dining seating. The motif includes maroon colors, wood and white chandeliers.

Jonesy's has over 30 bottles available, all of which are from Denver/Colorado (Breckenridge, Great Divide, Odell, Bristol, Oskar Blues etc). There are 2 taps, both of which are occupied by Oskar Blues (Ten Fidy and Barrel-Aged Old Chub on my visit). The available beers are all staged above the bar and on the menu.

Service was good at 5pm on a weeknight as we were there right when they opened and had the bar to ourselves for awhile, although the place steadily filled up. The bartenders were knowledgeable about the beers and made good recommendations.

The food recommendation was mac 'n' cheese fries and they were spot on.

Overall I really liked the focus on local microbrews, low key atmosphere and tasty food and would definitely seek this place out on future visits to Denver.

I have to admit I'm shocked that this place isn't already listed under the Beerfly reviews.

I recently took a business trip to Denver and one of my co-workers was kind enough to e-mail the food editor of the Denver Post and inquire as to the best food/beer joints in town.

Jonesey's Eat Bar was his choice. I give him high marks on his recommendation.

This place is a funky eclectic mix of bar/restaurant/pool hall and speak easy all rolled into one. Funky art work and old photos hang everywhere. Pool tables and dinner tables are haphazardly placed all throughout the place. Really cool atmosphere.

The beer selection focused on Colorado Microbrews. Most of their 30+ items were in bottles. They did have 2 draft items as well. (one was "broken" while I was there)

Ten Fiddy was on tap. I enjoyed a Left Hand Terra-Ryezd and a New Belgian 1554.

The food was really fantastic here. Also funky, modern and fresh. They have a selection of specialty sliders that were fantastic. I had the spicy tuna sliders.

One person with me had the lamb sliders and also said they were great. The third had the lamb gnocchi. Said that was the best thing on the menu.

Service was excellent. For straight beer drinking this place is good... For a place to get a great meal and have excellent beer, this place rocks.

Give it a try.
