Who would have thought a chain like Uno's would be rated on Beeradvocate? I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to check out the beer selection one day recently at my local Unos. It was just built about a year ago(2008). There is a good number on tap, about 15; and then there is about another 30 or so in bottle. When I was there, I noticed Pliny the Elder(on-tap), St. Bernardus Apt 12(bottle), Founders Breakfast Stout(on-tap), Lost and Found Abbey Ale(720ml bottle)...just to name a few. There is one or two of the staff around the bar who know their beer too. The food is...well like any other Unos; although Unos happens to be one of my favorite chains as far as food is concerned. They have a great variety in that regard as well.

The atmosphere at the bar is pretty relaxed. The loose tables have pretty comfy seats. The bar itself is very large, with some high top tables as well. There's a bunch of nice size TV's from what I can remember, and they had the Sunday NFL ticket! A different game on each TV. I don't know what to tell you as far as the other seasons are concerned...but fall/winter has plenty of football action on Sundays!

Prices are normal for an Uno's. Some of the rare beers are a little overpriced...some very overpriced; but I guess you may expect that for what it is...and where it is.

Overall, a decent place to have a good meal...with some very good beer!

This is a standard Uno restaurant except for the beer. 24 taps, all but 5 are good quality craft beer. Plus bottles of Belgian stuff like Chimay and St. Bernardus. So the best I've seen at a chain restaurant like this. They've got a three sided bar with TVs in addition to the dining seating. Walls in the bar area are covered with craft beer tin tackers instead of the normal big beer schwag.

The beer devotees who consider a suburban taproom adjacent to a mall to be a ticket to a yellow, fizzy beer experience will be pleasantly surprised by patronizing Uno's in Bensalem.
I stopped there one weekday afternoon after visiting BA and their website. Uno's is under the leadership of Bill - didn't get his last name - a very friendly and capable manager who is also a home brewer and sees to it his customers have the best of the best on tap. There was Bell's, Boulder, Southern Tier, Stone, Stillwater, Dogfish, Dock Street and a local favorite and mine, too - Yards. There was also a special Uno edition of Weyerbacher's Big Ern's IPA. Need I say more?

Of course. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was well executed. When I return to the area, I'm going right back to see Bill at Uno.

Struggled with determining whether or not a chain restaurant deserved its own review, but a few visits have allowed me to shut off that aspect and recognize the solid craft selection this bar brings to the table.

Decorated like a chain restaurant and goes for that nostalgic Chicago feel but blended with Philadelphia sports memorabilia in the bar area... odd mix. Brick and wood all over. Nice 25 or so seat square bar with a large plasma TV on each side in the center and small ones scattered throughout. Plenty of high top, low top and booth seating in the bar area as well. 2 large dining areas to the left and rear of the bar.

The canned menu lists the beer choices as BMC staples, so make sure you request the accurate draft and bottle lists. 20 or so rotating craft taps and a wide bottle selection of 50+ more. Covers all styles and regions from Troegs, Yards and Weyerbacher to Stone, Great Divide and Sam Adams. Events have brought plenty of harder to find things from Russian River or Firestone Walker.

Service is spotty, the bar tender don't seem to be too knowledgeable about the beers themselves, but are pretty good about what has kicked and rotated in. Chatty servers sometimes lead to long waits between pours. Food is decent for a chain place with pizza and fried appetizers being the standards.

Highly recommended for the area or for those at the adjacent mall. Will please craft, noncraft and nonbeer fans alike.

I was surprised to see Uno's doing a Bella Vista event so naturally my interest was sparked.

I never been in a Uno's before but have worked in a chain resturant er uh, 'glorified resturant', there that's better. This was ust like every other chain resturant so really no need to explain the surroundings. The bar was big and confy and crowded with three tenders on, alot of annoying people surrounding me.

I guess people look at me and take pity or just know im the BIRDMAN, the bartender asked if I wanted some pizza 'on the arm', I was like sure. I had a slice or two but can't compare it to Chicago style as I've never been there. It was good. There was also a nine page menu that i did not bother to look at.

On to the beer, I had a very fresh sculpin which was great as it always is, no interference from dirty lines, clean as a whistle. Also had a Sea Monster stout which was blah but that's not the bars fault. Recently Weyerbacher has been brewing a IPA exclusivley for Uno's resturants called 'Big Erns' so there is general interest from the higher ups on craft beer. It's just not a bar stocking up on craft because it's trending. OK maybe a little but I feel UNO's have been doing this for a bit, or got in when the ball was rolling.

It was busy as hell so I could not chat with the three bartenderesses, but they got my dranks quick when they needed to be filled. They were running around like a chicken with it's you know what. They even traded one of my take home boulder pint glasses in for a Dark Horse pint glass which is swell, no disrespect boulder, but come on, step your game up. Good service at the bar, can't mention table service.

All in all, this particular Uno's passes the test and that one is clean beer from clean lines, that was the only thing that I was thinking about beforehand, but my doubts were unfounded, and now I found a new spot to drink when Im at the movies in nessimity, no disrespect Manny Browns, but step your game up, LOL.

Located pretty close to the Parx casino so figured it was time for a try knowing there was a decent tap list here. The bar is nicely separated from the rest of the place. The bar is squared U shaped with about 20 stools around the bar. Dark wood atmosphere with a fireplace tucked in the corner. Plenty of TV to watch your favorite sports. Decent sized crowd around the bar.

There are about 14 beers on draft and they are listed on the blackboard. Some basics like Bud, Guiness, Stella, Miller Lite, and Yuengling. The micros selection was pretty good with Racer 5, Trois Pistoles, two beers from DFH, Bruery Trade Winds, Founder's Breakfast Stout, Ballast Piper Down, Gubna, and Paulaner Oktoberfest. I quickly looked at the beer menu on the bar and it looked like there were about 40 bottles to choose from too.

The food is the typical Uno's fare that is not that good in my opinion, but the deep dish classic pie I had was decent but the thick doughiness reminded me why I prefer thin crust pizza. There are nuts on the bar for snacking which is a nice touch. Service was pretty good and relatively quick.

Definitely a decent place to stop for a pint, but the Hulmeville Inn is right up the road from here.

Uno's has been around for less than 2 years and a lot of people don't seem to know that they serve craft beer. My wife and I went in there on our way to the mall over a year ago and haven't felt more welcomed at any other chain restaurant since. They remember our names every time we go in. The managers there seem to do whatever possible to find us and ask our opinions on what they could put on draft next to better serve us and other customers. They recently put on Sixpoint Double Sweet Action just because I told them it was awesome. They change their drafts daily and eagerly anticipate feedback whenever possible. If you haven't been there yet, or weren't happy with their selection in the past, it changes often enough that you would probably love it now. I recommend Uno's to everyone.
