Our unique Imperial Wit, O-Gii, infused with organic green tea and ginger gets a monster kick in the pants from aging in Rehorst Reserve Gin barrels from our friends at Great Lakes Distillery. These rare gin barrels with their rich botanicals of juniper, chamomile and orange compliment the already complex flavors in O-Gii. Hints of wood and vanilla round out the finish. Smooth, mellow and warming, this is a rare treat.

This was a weird one. Had on tap. Opaque orange body with a thick white collar. Big gin leads the nose, no oak, just gin, with floral and herbal notes, and springtime spices. Taste still has big gin but now the wheat, subtle oak, and orange join the floral, spice, and herbal notes. Feel is thin for the style, carb is a tick too high, booziness isn't really felt, certainly not compared to taste, pretty smooth. It is unique so points for that

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy mud color with a very modest head; not much retention and just a few dots of lacing; not the most attractive color I have seen in a beer

Smell: The gin barrel really comes through but the underlying aroma is rather indistinct; some herbal tones, as one would expect from a Wit

Taste: The herbaceous base beer is elevated to a new level by the aging in Gin barrel, taking malty flavors to a juniper jungle; the Gin flavors dominate the tail end with a bit of coriander and sage kick in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: A very creative WIt that is worth a try; I don't love Gin but this is interesting

Thanks, Yungcoolship, for the opportunity

Appearance- The beer was straw yellow with a white head.

Smell - The gin is very present in the nose.

Taste - The gin and a little spice come through in a big way. Sweet wheat lays a nice backbone and gives a sense of balance. The beer has a very clean finish, which allows the juniper to linger uninhibited. Slight alcohol burn is noted at the end.

Mouthfeel - The carbonation gives a extra punch with out detracting from the beer.

Overall- I was surprised by how much I enjoyed thid one.

On tap at Metro Market Shorewood, WI.

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber with zero head. So hazy you can't see through it.

Smell: Yep, I smell gin. Plus the base beer. Mixes well.

Taste: Well, this is unexpected and quite tasty. The gin mixes lovely with the wit beer from a taste perspective. Boozy, but not obnoxiously so at all.

Mouthfeel: Surprisingly crisp and refreshing. Slight boozy aftertaste lingers.

Overall: Yes please more.
