So back before this current ownership, there was the Milwaukee Ale House and they made the original Louie's demise ale. Awesome beer coasters too, great artwork of Louie about to get murdered.

Anyways, this is a beer with a little bit of color to it, amber/auburn seems a fitting color descriptor. Aroma has a nice malty Vienna like presence, but there is more to it than that, but aroma wise, there you go.

Taste, malty, lightly hoppy, equal parts red, amber and Vienna type of malts in the flavor zone. Good heft, easy to drink, nice carbonation. Caramel big time but not sticky or heavy. A little bit of nuttiness to round it out. This is an old school favorite with a rich history behind it. Its predecessor was the first beer I ever had in Milwaukee. True story. Its true, its damned true.

Poured 12oz bottle into pint glass. It is a dirty amber color with a nice 2.5 finger off white head. Fades into a cap and leaves behind a good amount of lacing. The aroma is a rich and malty sweetness of toasted malt, caramel, and some grassy/earthy hops. The flavor is quite malty and is not as sweet as the nose would indicate. Toasted malts with caramel and an equal dose of the hops, fruitiness, and grain. Feel is lighter and has a clean finish with a slight dryness. Typical American Amber.

8/24...pours dirty bronze amber, murky with insane fizzy foam that is hard to control. Bready caramel notes. Sweet, nutty, but off balanced. Tastes like the wort it came from. The hop is funky and the beer is off tilt.

Classic MKE American style amber. Medium bodied, crisp, sharp beer. I know the can gives it a bad(ish) look, but this bad boy is also in glass bottles, and we all know it tastes better that way. New School Milwaukee! 3.5/5

How Many?: A MKE Native could drink this forever. I recommend 3-4 to do the job.
