Single hopped with Centennial hops This pitch black stout is teaming with rich roasted malt and coffee flavors. The addition of milk sugar tames these intense flavors with a silky sweetness. A very easy drinking, full bodied beer.

12 oz. bottle poured into a CCB snifter.
Appearance - Dark brown, but not completely opaque with a quickly receding light brown head. Almost gone by the time I got to the table with it. Looks like a porter more than a stout.
Smell - Roasty, bits of chocolate. The smell isn't overwhelming. What I would expect from a weak stout.
Taste - The taste is immediately chocolate and coffee bitterness, giving way to... nothing. It has almost no back end flavor. Nothing gross or sickly, which I was a bit afraid of. Just nothing.
Mouthfeel - Very watery, not thick at all. High carbonation makes it feel like coffee made from club soda.
Overall - I feel like I panned it in the review, even though there was nothing offensive about it. It's easy to drink. I didn't find myself wanting to pour it out. Just didn't have much to it.

Pours very dark brown, nearly black with a moderate carbonation and a head that foams up with large bubbles. Aroma is roasted malt. The taste is roasted malt, some hint of coffee and a bit of chocolate. The beer seems less in carbonation than when poured and comes across as tasting with little to no carbonation. There is little sweetness or lactose that I can detect. A milk stout that I will not repeat.

Taste: Silky lactose, roasted dark chocolate malts, sweet bread, toasted caramel. Same with the nose. Dark brown hue, mostly clear, tall tan foam head with many rings of lace. Medium/full body. spiced and roasty for after dinner beer.

12 oz bottle
no date
Crane snifter
Light brown from the bottle forming to a medium dark color with a 1/2 finger of beige head.
Aroma of dry dirt and espresso. Slight milk chocolate bar.
Flavor is of roasted malt, milk chocolate bar, caramel, dry dirt, and slight roasted coffee notes. Hops and malt balance well, the hops prop up the malt so it doesn't become cloying.
Feel is semi creamy, quiet to medium carbonation, slight roastiness and oiliness, and has a medium body.
Overall, an enjoyable milk stout I had no problem finishing. Really hit the spot tonight after the gym.

Poured into a pint glass from a 22oz bomber.
Appearance: Very dark brown with a lighter tan head. Head dissipated very rapidly.
Smell: Very sweet aroma, plenty of chocolate and coffee malt smells coming through.
Taste: Very Sweet, coffee malt flavor is noticeable. A bit silky.
Mouthfeel: Silky, weak/low carbonation. Very light body for the style.
Overall: Pretty disappointing beer from a brewery I typically enjoy. Aroma is great, the lack of head of and body hold this beer back.

Had this out of the bottle.
The smells and tastes were mellow. Some sweetness to it but not overly sweet. The alcohol was low making for a very drinkable beer.
A good beer.
