I am drinking a bottle tthat hit the streets a little over a year ago.
A: Brilliant amber to light copper, 1” tan foam collar that hugs the glass.
S: Traces of bourbon, vanilla, earth, malt.
T: Caramel, bourbon, drark dried fruit, traces of vanilla, a little sherry late in the finish. Even after a year in the bottle, no big oxidized flavors.
F: Very creamy, medium full boey and hmedium high carbonation.
O: A very nice bourbon barrel aged amber ale that those who want something other than a bourbon barrel aged imperial stout should seek out.

Look - dark brownish red with a good slightly tan head with constant bobbles and leaves a slight film
Smell - bourbon and sweet carmel. You can smell the booze. Seems a lot like a strong scotch ale
Taste - sweet Carmel and bourbon barrel wood. Slightly toasty.
Feel - medium body with medium carbonation with a slight tingle. Pretty smooth and creamy.
Overall - fantastic bb Amber!

Beautiful red/copper color is it's only redeeming quality. It is truly beautiful to look at. Alcohol comes off like cough medicine. Looks like previous versions of this were 7.5%, this one is 10.2%. While I'm a big fan of bourbon barrel beers, this one is not one I would seek out.

Pours slightly hazed copper with a fluffy lasting head. Plenty of lacing sticks.

The smell is of bourbon/wood and caramel.

The taste is of strong bourbon, wood, booze. A vague fruitiness and toast balance some of the sweetness, though it remains sweet.

It has soft carbonation. The body is medium. A fuller body may cover the alcohol more. There is a certain amount of creaminess to it.

An amber ale with strong bourbon. A nice sipper of an amber ale blended with bourbon.
