750ml bottle, 09/10/15 printed on the bottle, poured into a Lindemans stemmed glass. Enjoyed on 6.1.17, enjoyed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a nice copper color, hazy with light amber hues and a foamy white head, great retention but no lace. The aroma is interesting, very strong funk, quite herbal and floral with a very green quality, like green pepper or perhaps fresh ramps, soft dry leaves, the gueuze like qualities express themselves more as it warms with lingering mineral water. The flavors are similar, very herbal and floral though not quite medicinal, the green pepper flavor is definitely there and the funkiness, while nice, doesn't quite cover it up. There is some nice mineral water, pale grain and oak that comes out as the beer warms. The mouthfeel is good, coating, crisp, lively medium body, delicate and bubbly with a tart and dry finish.

Verdict: A decent gueuze from Lindemans. The elderflower comes across too vegetal and it overpowers the brighter and more delicate floral character though the gueuze base is quite nice and makes for a good beer.

750 mL bottle. Hazy orange body. Green aroma. Not quite the green peppers. Orange. A little sweet smelling. Tastes sweet up front. Very green flavor here as well. Oak. Some astringency and wine in the back end. Medium light. Nice flower flavor, but a bit sweet.

White head. Golden color.

This taste like mamouche. Crushed black pepper, garden fresh green peppers, herbal, and floral. Lemon citrus. Oaky. Some funk. Mineral flavors.

Nice lively body. Ends a little dry.

A very nice beer to try. Very fun flavors. Similar to merry month of may and Mamouche.
9/2017 did a side by side with Blossom Gueuze.

This is aging nicely and keeps getting better. The dill and pepper (green bell and crushed black pepper) show more. Lemony and floral. Nice and spicy. Getting up there with mamouche.

This is a very nice bottle and reminds me of the blossomgeuze from lindemans.

It is also made from elderflowers and this is something you can really taste. The big difference between the blossomgeuze and this in de sweetness of this one. In this one you taste more sweetness and more elderflowers.

I think the lambics and the elderflowers are a great combination! Big up for this one.

Thank you Brad! Can't believe I got to try this. First!

L: Near perfect. Hazy orange amber with a white head that fades to a ring.

S: Funky and floral, bit of amaretto and slight pickle. Smoother than the BlossomGueuze.

T: Very much the same. Very similar to BlossomGueuze, but smoother and some amaretto.

F: Great, medium and effervescent.

O: This was great and may be the best elderflower lambic I've had, but I haven't had Mamouche in quite some time. There isn't really any hype behind this, but it's pretty rare. With that said, it's definitely not worth the price.
