This is the one! My first "beer" outside of my comfort zone of light lagers and such.
I don't recall what made me even try a framboise but this just blew me away. Everything about this is drinkable and the rarity of this beer is that it can be consumed at any temperature -warm to ice cold - and even over ice. Lindeman, to date, has been the best of any framboise I've had, and so-called raspberry beers don't come close. I use this framboise as a "mixer" for special events. I take a large bottle and blend it with a high end dry champagne for an amazing drink!

Pours a lovely clear crisp burgundy color. Frothy pink head dissipates leaving a lot of sticky lacing and a residual layer of foam.

Smell is incredible. The minute the cork is out it smells like someone just crushed a whole peck of fresh raspberries in the room. Rich, slightly sweet, hint of tartness. There is almost nothing they could do to get the aroma any better not his beer.

Taste has a strong raspberry flavor throughout. Bit of tartness when its cold becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. Certainly sweet as expected for a Lindemans lambic, but it plays so well in the beer. Slight malt notes and some belgian yeast is picked up on the back end, but overall this is a beer that showcases the raspberry.

Feel is light, crisp and refreshing. Medium carbonation. Slightly tart.

Overall this is a really nice Framboise lambic. Its on the sweet side of the spectrum for sure, but its an incredibly tasty beer. This is outstanding. Don't let the low rating fool you - this is a must try beer if you like lambics.

Looks like a glass of raspberry juice with no head. Smells like tart raspberry with a lot of sweetness. Tastes like fresh picked raspberries with a nice tart sweetness. This is a really tasty beer.

L (4.25) - Almost looks like red wine or cranberry juice. Dark, clear red. Not much head at all, but this bottle was old.
S (4.25) - A subtle yet unmistakable raspberry smell. Not overwhelming, but there.
T (4.5) - Tastes like a sour raspberry beer! Good balance, really. Not crazy sour, but undeniably sour. I didn't get a whole lot of beer malty tastes, but I don't think I should have.
F (4.25) - Fairly easy drinking beer that was carbed about right.
O (4.25) - So this bottle was old. Like 1.5 or 2.5 years old. Had been sitting in fridge for my wife, long forgotten and left for dead. But I got curious. I've had this before, but it really held up. I mean, some of the aroma and carbonation perhaps fell off, but still a great beer.

Split a bottle with some pals.

Appearance: A deep, juice-like red. Some pink foam. Looks like what happens when you pour seltzer into juice.

Aroma: Rapsberries. All the raspberries.

Taste: See above. Some pleasant funk. Mostly jammy raspberries and sweet sugar. Juice-like.

Mouthfeel: As fruit juice.

Overall: I'm a fan, but some might find it too sweet. In my opinion it's everything I want from a fruit lambic, though the sweetness is bigger than the funkiness.

The drunkest I have ever been in my life is the night I drank this beer with my friend. The taste is so sweet we assumed (incorrectly) that it was a non-alcoholic and were using it to drink between harder drinks and then later to get sober. I woke up in a stranger's yard.

Story aside, I am a big fan of this beer. The color is very nice. It would make a good color for a painting or something. The smell is pleasant and sticks around the area and the taste is super sweet. Raspberry raspberry and more raspberry throughout. It's about as "yummy" as a beer gets and reminded me more of eating fruit snacks than drinking. If you could spread it on toast it would make a good preserve. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it left (to me) that sort of grit feeling on your teeth you get when eating raspberry.

Obviously not for everyone, but found it to be cheap and pleasant. A beer for those who don't like "beer taste".

Pours deep red in color. Almost like a raspberry turning from its vibrant red to a bit darker.

Aroma is pure raspberry, raspberry syrup, and raspberry sorbet. It wafts across the room. Amazing! A bit of funk is noted.

Taste is a nice blend between sweet, sour, and a bit of funk. A huge emphasis is on the sweet raspberry notes, but a nice sourness plays through near the finish. Playing almost into the aftertaste is a very mild funkiness that makes this beer unique and draws me back into each sip.

Overall, this is a pure raspberry bomb. A bit too sweet for me , but perfect for non-beer lovers/ fruited beer fans. Very unique and interesting! I see it pairing well with a more rich dark chocolate dessert. It gets a 91.5/100.

On tap at McNellie's in OKC. Draft in a lambic flute. Foamy bit of head in a violet-tinged red.

Nose of pure raspberry sherbert.

Taste is likewise, light on alcohol, but heavy on fruit. A lovely dessert.

Cynics will pooh pooh the low ABV, but why quibble? It's a delicious beverage, and will be nicer to your breath than most session lagers. If the point is tasting good and making you happy, this one wins all.

Pours blood red with light pink head. Smells like and has a tart kind of sweet tarts smell. No funk at all. Taste is quite acidic/tart, which balances out the sweetness better than some other Lindemans beers. Raspberry flavor is not too artificial. Not much mouthfeel or finish. I'd like to say it is nothing special, but bottom line is that this beer is pretty tasty. I don't like it as much at the peche, but it is still good. I almost want to give it a lower score since it is so far from a real lambic, but it is enjoyable.

Pours a deep ruby body with a foamy pink head, starting off interesting here! The smell is huge on raspberry, with a bit of an added tartness and pungency hitting the nose, no malt here. The taste is beautifully sour and fruity, it's very sweet but easily drinkable. It goes down like juice and leaves a fairly pleasant taste in the mouth. Wouldn't be my go to, but pretty good!

It scared me at first. It's the color of a Champale from my youth. The smell is a mix between a Belgian style and raspberry. The flavor explodes in your mouth. Highly carbonated, sweet raspberry, and enough bitterness to perfectly balance it. Stacey says that I have to note that I have a huge sweet tooth; she doesn't like it; she says she can't get past the sweetness.

pours a dark ruby hue with a thick head. looks like a juice.

smell is very sweet, lots of cranberry juice to this. sweet and tart cranberry juice aroma. pretty damn good to be honest.

this is absolutely delicious. like a full bodied cranberry juice, tart but not overly tart. the sweetness is there but isn't incredibly high. finishes somewhat syrupy.

overall this is pretty damn good. definitely a different kind of beer than i'm used to but it's damn good. very refreshing and easy to drink. i like this.

From the big bottle, it pours a dark ruby with a nice pink head, which lasts a bit. Nose detects a lot of raspberry and so does the mouth - raspberry with a bit tartness. Yum!

Lindemans Framboise, 2.5% ABV, 12 IBU, Lambic Fruit style. Pours thick, deep burgundy color with 3 fingers of pink head, decent lacing. Nose is raspberry, taste is strong tart raspberry with some sweetness, no perceptible bitterness. Great mouthfeel. Overall an excellent beer and very odd in a number of ways; remove the foil, pop the cap off, then remove a cork, pours thick, pink head, low ABV, and an incredibly thick and heavy bottle. This is truly excellent! Some may think it would be like a wine cooler, but it is thick, tart and sweet, and not artificial tasting. Going on my favorites list. Can't help expecting more alcohol, but at least the alcohol doesn't infringe on the raspberry taste.

Pours an opaque, bright red. Nice, frothy pink head. Lovely juicy strawberry aroma. Juicy and yet tart strawberry flavor profile. Feels like you're drinking a slightly sour strawberry juice. Feel is carbonated, and soda-like, with a medium consistency. Overall, it's a definite yum for me. Lovely fruit flavor and aroma. Look evokes memories of fruit juice. Really love it.

Served in a tulip. Self-serve tap. Reviewed from notes.

This is the beer that moved me into Belgian beers and more importantly moved me into fruit beers. Just a very nice raspberry flavor with deep ruby coloring. An interesting, enjoyable, complex taste that I definitely enjoyed and just have been able to put into more descriptive words.

Very good overall! It is bright red and has a light pink head. It is a bit dark and cloudy also. Its flavors are very sweet, of raspberry and sugar and candied with some possible honey flavors.

The appearance is a deep red with a beautiful red/pink head. Smells like popsicles, fruit juice and raspberry jam. Extremely sweet with a slight tartness, would be great with dessert such as ice cream. Sweet, clean and refreshing. Very enjoyable in small doses due to the intensity of the sugar content.

My favorite drink! This is so fruity and sweet. Very enjoyable with a dessert, or even over some vanilla ice cream. Definitely a drink to have for taste and not for alcohol, due to the low ABV (2.5%) and high sugar content. This is still an amazingly fruity raspberry drink, with a deep pink color and carbonation. I would definitely recommend.

On draft at L Mulligan Grocer, Dublin.
Luminous magenta-purple with pink trailers. 4
Chambord nose. 4
Big sugary fruit hit, a tart middle, raspberry skin, then a bit of lime rind to end. 3.5
Round, chewy, almost medium. 4

Far too sweet. But there’s a good lambic under there somewhere. Needs the right time and place - with chocolate truffle cake, maybe? Lindemanns gets a harder time than they deserve. 4

L: Deep, dark plum red. Thin pinkish head.

S: Slight yeast funk, light raspberry.

T: Tart raspberry with slight sour yeast.

F: Dry with minimal carbonation.

O: A good Lambic. Look for New Glarus's fruity offerings, though, if you want world class!
