I've been here a million times--it's a go-to place. Classic Mellow Mushroom food and a good selection of local beer. A lot of the staff is really good w/ few annoyances: I've never had a problem with the service. Poor selection of music and tragically loud volume. Other than turning the music down, keep on keeping on. This place is cool.

I've been to this location a number of times, finally decided to review it after my last visit over the weekend.

A - Atmosphere isn't bad. They have both inside and outside seating. Plenty of screens to watch games or whatever else. Crowd isn't exactly beer-conscious, and tends more to the yuppie element that dominates the area (it's in the business park part of town), or to the overflow from the multiple wing joints around it. Outside, they have live music from time to time, which is always a plus.

Q - No issues with quality, but we've almost always stuck to draft when visiting.

S - Service has almost always been very good. On our last visit the young lady was personable and made sure we were taken care of without being intrusive. She made us feel very welcome.

S - Okay, not sure what the other reviewer is talking about here. Selection is bland at best. We had a pitcher of 90 Minute, which was about the only thing that caught our interest at all. Not sure about the "no crap on tap" policy, since it includes Blue Moon, Abita, and Dos Equis. Mainly the standard pseudo-craft selections that you can find almost anywhere. Not really anything of interest outside of what we got. The bottle menu is pretty awful, consisting mainly of BMC crap. And prices are HIGH -- a 32oz pitcher of 90 Minute was $26.

F - The food is why we come back. I absolutely LOVE Mellow Mushroom's pizza. Good crust, solid ingredients, and plenty of originality. It won't win over a margherita purist, but it's very satisfying. They also have plenty of other stuff if you're so inclined.

O - Normally I don't review places that I go to mainly for food. It doesn't seem fair if they don't specialize in beer. But seeing this come up as A+ based on the one previous review (and that the reviewer's only contribution to this site is that one 5-5-5-5-5 review) is laughable. Mediocre selection and high prices for the few good beers that they do have make it a second or third tier option at best. Mellow Mushroom, I *want* to love you, so pick up your game in the bar and maybe I'll reconsider. Until then, I'm just here for the food.

By far my favorite watering hole!!! 24 delicious beers on tap including stouts, imports, pale ales, and various seasonals. They offer a very competitive happy hour including Abita Purple Haze and Sam Adams Boston Lager pints at $2.99. No crap on tap is their motto and it shows in their beer selection. The bottle selection is limited but does include Samuel Smiths. Very laid back place to hang with a huge patio that hosts really good music. The service is very exceptional with a hippie ambiance that makes it that much more enjoyable. Their pizzas are the best in town, my favorite being the Thai Dye Pie.
