Total Wine has a really good selection, but definitely has that Big Box feel. The store is laid out with wine on one side and beer on the other with an entire (huge) aisle dedicated to craft beer singles. A growler fill station, regular Saturday tastings with local brewers, and a mostly knowledgeable staff are enough to keep me coming back on occasion. They even have free beer classes monthly, which I have yet to attend.

Really, this is a convenient place for me and has excellent selection and reasonable prices. If you are looking for local beers that are not too hard to find, this is the place to go if you want to save money. They also tend to get larger distribution of limited releases. There are upsides to shopping at Total Wine, but I try to go to local businesses when I have the time.

One thing that I wish I could change: I wish there was a better way to track new arrivals other than calling the store.

This Total Wine is massive. MASSIVE. More like a warehouse than a regular wine/ booze store.

Beer is pretty easy to find, as you enter the store to your right. They've named the brew section "Brewery District". Ok, whatever. There is a beer cave, chilled beer in coolers, growlers and aisle after aisle of craft beer, by the six-pack, case or single.

And yet, I came out of this store buying nothing whatsoever. Why? Because this store is all about "regular" stuff. You can get all your classic Stone, Dogfish, Weyerbacher, Sierra, Sweetwater, Terrapin or Avery brews, but don't come looking for special releases, barrel-aged stuff or rare beers because this ain't the place.

Their "special release" shelf had Avery IPA, Double Bastard and Lagunitas Capuccino Stout. Need to say more? Vast selection of quality Euro beers, though, particularly Belgians, and the growler bar SHINES. Southern Tier Choklat, Dragon's Milk, 3 Philosopher's, Clown Shoes Chocolate Sombrero... And many more!

They have random cases of beer (mostly seasonal) around the wine aisles, so be on the lookout for those as well. Prices are very fair in general (Laughing Dog Bourbon Dogfather is $6.99 as opposed to $13.99 in Ann Arbor, MI). Indifferent staff, though... they have a TON of employees and I couldn't even get a "hello". I like being left alone to browse, but...

As you walk in you are surrounded by liquor and wine. I just kept walking to the right towards the refridgerator's, no signs to help you find the beer. As someone had mentioned already very little refridgerated space for craft brews. But their is about 4 aisle's dediated to some good stuff. Nothing really jumping out at me here except Sweetwater.

I will say it is a little unorganized jumping from one aisle to the next with wine blending in with the beer. But it is very clean, not too dusty and someone seems to be on top of their game with making sure the labels are facing forward.

I was asked twice if I needed help, I kindly declined and went on my way.

Overall not a bad find here in Perimeter but nothing out of the ball park selection wise.

The other reviewers pretty well describe the place and it pretty well resembles the others that I have been in. I think that there were 3 rows dedicated to beer, one for singles, one for sixers and one for larger quantities and they did have some refrigerated, but it was limited. Clearly the incentive for this place is the variety of singles that they offer. I walked out with a sixer of Stone Levitation and 2 german beers. I thought that it was a little pricey, but not too much to discourage me from going. It did appear to have a nicer/bigger selection of german beers than Green's, but when given the choice, I will probably end up back at Green's or even making the journey to Hop City, unless I am up Perimeter way. Overall, a nice selection and that is about it.

Wow, save for the Cork & Bottle in Covington, KY this is one of the best selections of beer & wine @ VERY reasonable prices that I have ever encountered. Highly recommended especially if you crave a warehouse type atmosphere that has a serious collection of singles in which to make your own six. I dropped $75.00 just on singles alone, I'd rather try before I buy. Wish there were more places like this in N.E. Ohio. A selection so good you have to eliminate things down to the absolute most wanted.

This Total Wine reorganized their been singles and pack aisles earlier in the year and has gotten in a lot more beers that were previously unavailable. A lot of the 6-packs, half-cases and cases of beer are not priced very far above cost (especially the macro-brews) and the staff is always willing to break down 6-packs if singles of a certain beer are not obvious on the single-bottle/can aisle. A fair few of the staff members really knowledgeable regarding special and hard-to-find breweries and specific releases and when they are in the dark they are quick to check their computers or to see if it's available. It would be nice if they could get in certain Italian beers that are available in Georgia but that haven't been seen in the store, but that's not necessarily a problem.

A big box store for wine. The corporate stench can be perceived as soon as you walk in. They may know wine, I don't know, but they are clueless about beer. They prominently display local beers right as you walk in and I do appreciate that.

Decent selection and you can buy individual beers. However, they're always out of everything. If you ask about a release, they will have no idea what you're talking about. They spend more time rearranging their shelving than learning about their product. Everything is in a different spot every time I go in. It's just a corporate store; they could just as easily be selling linens, it wouldn't matter to them. A little higher in price than most places.

I go there only when I'm desperate.
