What a find!

We stumbled across this gem on the way to Warner Robins for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Boy am I glad I did!

**A bit of a side note**
Coming from Mobile, AL we are still a little behind the beer curve. Having recently passed a law to increase the statewide ABV to 13.9% we still have a few hurdles to overcome. Georgia isn't far behind having a max ABV of 14%, but they do not restrict the container sizes. In AL we're limited to 16oz.
**Back to the review**

I was like a kid in a candy store. Here's what I picked up:
Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA (12oz 4 pack)
Stone Ruination IPA (1pt 6oz)
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid (1pt 6oz)
Chimay Blue (1pt 9.4oz)
Sweetwater Festive Ale x2 (1L)
Avery Maharaja IPA (1pt 6oz)

The last mention was the last in the store, a prize pulled from the back by the gentleman helping me.
All around great staff, very knowledgeable and willing to help. I will most definitely be making this a routine stop on the way to visit the grandparents.

Boo's is a nice little store with a great selection of good stuff. For me the best thing is the friendly service. I was helped by a nice young lady who had some knowledge of craft beer , but was not all in your face with it. There is a generous helping of singles, something I am always interested in. Best of all, my young son was with me and the lady took time to acknowledge him and be friendly. If you are nice to me you are a good person. If you are nice to my children then you are a saint. I don't go to Columbus often, but when I do I always stop at Boo's.

Stopped by Boo's while visiting family in Columbus. I discovered Boo's on Beeradvocate. The service at Boo's was very good and the staff was friendly. Selection was also very good. I picked up a few Stone Double Bastards, Schneider Aventinus brews, Paulaner hefeweisen, and Trappistes Rochefort 10s. There was a good selection of cold singles in the cooler as well. Not really sure how Boo's compares to other stores in Columbus, but it is definitely good enough for me. Looking forward to seeing my family and visiting Boo's again soon.

While visiting Columbus I went beer shopping at Boo's after finding it on Beer Advocate, desperately seeking Hopslam or some other Bell's. I was a bit disappointed in that the only Bell's was Winter White. But there was a good Founders selection, some Avery (picked up Jubilation Ale to try) and quite a few others to pick from. Somewhat limited in west coast selections though...only Old Rasputin from North Coast and no Bear Republic. Did manage to find a Stone Double Bastard to try and a Victory Wild Devil. Knowledgeable service and he said he is usually restricted to one case of limited beers...actually got one case of Dogfish Bitches Brew on Monday and it was gone in less than 12 hours, which he said is normal for such releases in the store.
Overall, a better place than others in town and worth a stop to see what might be.

Always a good selection here. The only place in Columbus I can find Duck-Rabbit and they even carry their seasonals. Huge selection of Founders and Bell's. Good selection of Victory, Great Divide, and Dogfish Head.

Every time I go there they have someone with a good knowledge about beer that can help me out. Their cooler is stocked with a huge selection. They have a shelf with the more high end stuff, and a small cooler with some high end stuff.

I just had such a great experience today, I had to come and edit this. It is no longer a tie. It is the best place to buy beer in Columbus. I found the Trappistes Rochefort 10 and Ayinger Celebrator. The guy that worked there was very, very knowledgeable about everything.

This is one of my regular haunts - weekly, if not more often. Not only do they have an amazing selection for Columbus, GA (most things don't make it south of Atlanta due to distributors), the staff is extremely knowledgeable and always on the lookout for new things to bring to town. I've had many a conversation about what's good, what's not, and what they're trying to get. I think I spend as much time talking beer as I do deciding what to get. If you're not from Columbus, it's worth the stop if you're in the area or just passing through. If you live here and have never been, well, it's time to experience something great.

Was picking up some homebrewing ingrediants a couple blocks away so I decided to stop by this store to see if they had anything good. They had tons of liquor and wine selection (none of which I was interested in), one Beer aisle and larger cooler selection. The beer aisle was impressive, Stone, Weyerbacher, Bells (Including HOPSLAM!!), Smuttynose, Lagunitas, Oskar-Blues, Avery, Stoudts, Duck-Rabbit, Dogfish Head, Founders, and some good germans & belgians. I picked up a 6-pack of Bells Hopslam for $15.99 and 6-pack of Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter $12.99, and 2 Dogfish Head pint glasses for $2.50 each. I was very pleased from this visit.

Apparently Columbus, GA only got 10 cases of Bells Hopslam, but this store had four 6-packs on their shelf and more back in the cooler. Very solid, plus Duck-Rabbit seasonal.

Unfortunately Boo's has gone way down hill. Used to be the place in Columbus.

This is one fine establishment considering that in this neck of Georgia good beer is hard to come by. There are really only two places to go and both are on BA now. In boos go straight to the back and you'll find plenty of good stuff right before your eyes. Stone, Oskar Blues, plenty of Belgians, sierra nevada, and plenty others that are a bit fuzzy now. I found just about everything on my list and I even found a few surprises while I was there. All I have to say is go and check it out if you're in the area and they will treat you right here!
