Pour is a hazed orange with a fairly tight white head. Nose is heavy brett, light leather to it, strong citrus and tangerine, with a touch of rubbery phenol. Taste is similar, more rubbery phenol, notes of some farmhouse yeast, meaty and a bit of acetic acid. Some tangerine fruitiness with an assertive carbonation and grainy feel.

Thanks to Ray for the share! Apparently this beer was supposed to be Vatour, but the brewer didn't think it was comparable to previous batches, so he slapped a new name on it. Whatever the case, this was one of the better bottles McKenzie has put out in quite a while.
GUSHER ALERT! Once that settled out... Slightly hazy orange-yellow color, with a well-retaining white head that laced the glass nicely. Lacto aroma, various fruits, sugary malt sweetness in the background. The barrel came through very nicely in the taste here, lots of oak--leather, almond, and vanilla in there--light and manageable tartness, lemon rind and peach...kind of reminded me a little of the tartness profile in Brute...pale malt base bringing in toasted grains and a balanced sugary sweetness. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp and clean, easily drinkable. I'd like to try this again.
