The Hy-Vee chain of grocery store is always a good place to hunt for beer. At this one, its just really a beer aisle, not a separate liquor store. For me it was worth a trip from Columbia, because they had Boulevard's Imperial Stout and no store in Columbia has seen it yet. It carries most of the usual breweries available in this area: New Belgium, Boulevard, Samuel Adams, O'Fallon, Schlafly, etc. The have a small mixer section for $8.97. There aren't many choices but the price is better than most in the area. I was able to grab a couple beers that I didn't want to buy a six pack of (like SA Blackberry Wit). All in all, this is worth a stop in Jeff City for the Boulevard Smokestack series and maybe some other nice finds.

I'll be honest I was hoping to see the same stuff that is at the Lake of the Ozark store. So I was actually disappointed by this location. All in all it is not bad. The beer aisle is a long aisle in the middle of the store. It is not a section with a counter and a sales associate like at the lake. The only employee's I had seen were at the registers. The selection was more major and macro than anything even in the pick-a-six area. A lot of the major imports but nothing really impressive. There is a lot of stuff from Sam Adams, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Schlafly, Boulevard and Great Divide. A limited selection of Bells, O'Dells, Breckenridge and Left Hand. If I am in Jeff City it is worth the stop but it is not somewhere I go out of my way to go to.

Pretty decent selection for a grocery store, especially in this town. Good selection of Boulevard, Schlafly, New Belgium. Carry beers from Achor, SN, Left Hand, Rogue, Fuller's, Rogue.. Have a smallish selection of bombers, including the Blvd. Smokestack and generally whatever Schlafly has available, plus Duvel, some Great Divide stuff, maybe a Sam Smith's, and a couple Rogues.

Prices are generally a bit cheaper than other places, but not by a whole lot. Don't know about beer-specific service, but the overall store service is generally very good.

The new Hy-Vee added a very nice liquor and beer section as part of their remodeling. They do not carry the volume that the Columbia store has but for Jefferson City they have a fairly nice selection of Craft/Micro brews and imports at competitive prices.

On most days you can find everything from Schlafly and Boulevard. A nice selection of Colorado beers: Odell, Avery, Great Divide(Oak Aged Yeti), Breckenridge, Left Hand and of course New Belgium. Among others they have Rogue, Sierra Nevada and Redhook. Assorted bombers, including Delirium Tremens, Chimay, Rogue, Blvd Smokestack, Schlafly(barleywine and IS) and I spotted Ommegang in there at one time, although I have not found it again.

They have a nice mix and match 6 pack section that is usually pretty nicely stocked, although there are times where it has been picked through pretty well.

All in all, it's a very nice grocery store beer selection. Between Hy Vee and Abiy's across the street, I really don't need to go many other places to get what I am looking for.
