Pours a black color. 2/3 inch head of an off-tan color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, slight peanut butter, hint of pale malt, hint of hops, slight chocolate, and a hint of oatmeal. Fits the style of an English Porter. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong near-peanut butter, strong sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, slight hops, chocolate, and pale malt. Overall, average appearance and aroma, but body is dominated by an odd near-peanut butter flavor.

Look: Tootsie Roll brown with lighter hues coming through the edges in the light. Cream colored head that leaves a wisp after recession. Light spots of lacing.

Aroma: Creamy, nutty peanut butter on top of roasted and charred malts.

Taste: A definite sweetness opens up this beer before delving into a huge nutty peanut butter body. Tangy finish.

Mouthfeel: Thin, much in the vein of a porter.

Overall: Really true to its name, if you like peanut butter you may like this.

12 oz bottle, thanks bro- Pours dark brown to almost black with a light tan head. Aroma is toffee, peanuts, caramel, not overly sweet. The taste is peanuts, caramel candy, peanut brittle, dryness really balances out what could have been super sweet. Good beer.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/2017. Pours hazy dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big peanut butter, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toasted brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, cocoa/lactose/PB, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big peanut butter, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toasted brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal hop and roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of peanut butter, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toasted brown bread, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, cocoa/lactose/PB, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is a very nice flavored English brown porter style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, cocoa/lactose/PB, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Feels like they barely used any roasted grains in this beer, and went with the cocoa nibs for the chocolate flavor. Great PB presence in balance with base beer. Hits the English style spot on. A very enjoyable offering.

Was hoping for more of a peanut butter flavor, but only got some of that when it warmed up a bit. When it's too cold, it loses a major component of the name and intentional flavor. I like it, just would rather have had more of the peanut butter essence; either in the taste or the back end after the swallow. That didn't even occur until I was 80% thru drinking and the temp of the beer warmed a bit. Willing to try it again, but probably taking it out of the fridge and letting it warm a bit before popping the top. Poured about a 2 finger head, creamy and malty. Bread notes on the back with a nice roast malt.

This beer pours a deep brown with a large off white head. The aroma is strongly scented with peanut butter, and a touch of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is creamy, and very directly peanut butter with a touch of chocolate. The mouthfeel is fairly light with creamy carbonation.Overall this is a good beer if you just want peanut butter flavor, but it does not offer much else..
