Spicy, herbal hops, citrus and light grains on the nose. Pours hazy gold with a 1” fluffy white head that produces intricate lace. Palate of light malts that become richer and more prominent as the beer warms. Underneath, an earthy woodiness, biscuit and nuts, with very light fruit in the background. The bitterness is firm but not harsh. Medium body and carbonation.

A. Aggressive poor ½ inch foamy yellow head. Very little carbonation after the poor. Color is spot on with apple juice.
S. Hops, fruit, citrus fruit.
T. Taste is a little weak for an IPA. Alcohol taste is slightly astringent. Taste the way leaves smell as they decay in autumn. Bitter. I enjoy the autumn taste “decaying leaves”. Taste like coriander?
M. Thin, dry, watery, and gritty. Gives me cotton mouth drinking it.
O. Pretty watery but good. Would recommend drinking on an autumn day while eating fish tacos. Little to no buzz for 6%ABV

Got this from a friend who traveled to Nebraska. Best by September 2014.

Appearance: Golden/copper color and quite hazy. Brilliant off-white cap of suds.

Aroma: Bready grain, wheat, and just of hint of smooth citrus.

Taste: Lots of bitterness upfront that lends an earthy flavor. Hop-dominated with some bready, slightly sweet malt undertones. Packs quite a punch for 58 IBUs but is easily palatable. There is also a flavor that I can only describe as home-brew funk. Maybe from bottle conditioning? Not sure and it's not necessarily a bad thing. The flavor as a whole, eathy/citrusy hops and floury malt, is not alright but a little watery and one-dimensional. At 6% ABV I expect a little more depth. Smooth finish and good balance in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Just under medium in body with average carbonation for the style. Decently smooth and drinkable.

Final Thoughts: It's always a gamble trying a beer you've never heard of, but the joy of experiencing something new makes up for any loses. Watch Man IPA is good for anyone in search of solid earthy bitterness. Would I drink it again? Unlikely.
