Very Good

Notes:
Inspired by the classic Abbey Ales of Belgium, Drawn to Light has an inviting floral aroma, crisp and fruity malt profile and a very dry finish. Stylistically this beer is a Belgian Pale Ale and will evolve with some aging.
Malts: Pilsner, Dark Wheat, Cara 33
Hops: Houblons

Look: Hazy brown-straw color. Very little head, it turned into a thin patches within seconds. No lacing. Mix of small and medium sized bubble rising from the bottom.
Smell: Strong hops with a touch of yeast, malt, and a funky barnyard. Swirling the glass kicked up the hops and barnyard a bit.
Taste: Milder bitters than expected from the smell. A bit of fruit and malt showing up. The aftertaste has the fruit fading away leaving the bitters to linger for a while.
Feel: Tongue tingling as it turns into a thick, creamy foam. The thickness of foam wasn't expected given the lack of any head.
Overall: This was rather disappointing considering many other offerings from Driftwood. The older reviews make me think that they had some ingredient or production problems this time around.

Clear bronze with a nice head that shows some lace.
Beautiful tropical fruit aroma with underlying spicy phenolics.
Tastes echoes the aroma, with a little biscuit and caramel. Restrained bitterness, subtle alcohol.
Light to moderate body has a slight sweetness but a drying finish.
Very nice, faithful to the old country.

7% abv, N/A ibu, 650ml bottle.
A - clear golden orange with a finger white head, lacing.
S - bready, bubble gum, banana, canned pineapple juice, yeasty, fresh hop, classic brett, musky, earthy, "ester"?
T - mild carbonation, light body, yet packed with flavors, licorice, banana, tropical juice. little malt & hops. dry, short lasting.
O - it's a refreshing beer, top of abbey that i have ever had, but maybe Belgium style is not for me. aromas r more complex than taste. prob not getting again, good to try once, cuz driftwood always nail every style.
