Notes:
Dry, tart and decisively unique, Shokunin koji ale is a delicate ale of mixed fermentation. Using koji (a special rice mould) and traditional sake yeast, with no bittering hops added boasts aromatic notes of stone fruit and citrus. This sake-beer hybrid features koji, rice, and sake yeast. The result is a dry, slightly tart, easy-drinking “koji” ale.

This unusual beer is exceptionally good for pairing with food you would not want to overwhelm. A pleasant beer with a creamy citrus taste is sure to complement fatty foods. The highlight for me is there is no bitterness due to how it is brewed and is a great innovation in flavour.

Not sure what category this goes into, so it's hard to rate. At the broadest level, this is worth having, and is have it again.
When cold, it tastes like Apple Juice but with the body of beer and without much complexity to it. It's lightly sparkling/effervescent, has a nose of red apples with a light wheat breadiness behind. No bittering hops are used, so almost no bitterness. As it warms I get pear accents and an unusual, probably sake-derived, scent that makes this a unique beer.
I am thoroughly enjoying it because of its sweet apple taste but with a medium dry finish that asks for more.

T-tart & refreshing , sake yeast dry swallow
