Notes: A quirky but oddly intriguing intersection of wheat, rye and Amburana spirals, this potent libation knows it is right, and will hide in the back of your cellar until it is good and ready.

Serving: 650 ml bottle poured into a 2 dl glass.

Appearance: Pours cloudy light brown/amber with a fleeting off white head.

Smell: Malty sweet aroma with plenty of grains, toffee, vanilla and subtle spice.

Taste: Warming malty goodness, spiced, boozy with dark fruit, toffee and a little tobacco.

Mouthfeel: Silky smooth, medium body and softer carbonation.

Overall: A nice sipper at the end of a cold night.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a nice dark orange/light brown with quickly fading head. I'm pretty excited about this one since it's aged on amburana spirals. The nose is fantastic. Black licorice, wheat, and a huge malty presence. Figs, blackberries, toffee, vanilla. The taste is wonderful. It reminds me of the 3 Bean Stout (including tonka beans) from Lervig that I love very much. This is spicy as well - nutmeg and cinnamon. There is almost a hint of peppery spice as well. I honestly can't see this as a wheat wine, but it's great regardless. As it warms I get more of a leathery note - almost a touch of pipe tobacco that has dug itself into a leather arm chair. The mouthfeel is medium bodied - definitely not the thickness of a stout, but right in line with a wheat wine. Overall, I am 100% a fan of this. I will definitely try to get more.

Delicious dark amber floral boozy glass of candy. Amburana spirals cotton candy for grownups: melts on the tongue and scorches on the way down. Right in my wheelhouse! Funny thing that I only have a sweet tooth for strong ales.
