Notes:
Awakened from an extended slumber in French oak barrels, we then aged Abyssus on sour cherries for another full year; giving this libation a smooth, yet complex, profile.

Driftwood Brewery 'Abyssus Kriek' @ 11.5% , served from a 650 ml bottle , 2021 vintage
A-pour is amber from the bottle to a dark red in the glass with a small beige head , dissapating into a minimal lace ring along the tulip
S-Barrel Aged sour cherries added to french oak for two years
T-tart & refreshing , bit acidic on the initial swallow , last couple of swallows are uber tart
MF-mild carbonation , feels full bodied , even at 11.5% the ABV is not overpowering
Ov-tough finishing beer , maybe too much ABV for the style
