This is not a style I drink, but pilsner fans would enjoy this. Looks, smells, and tastes as advertised.

At the Brewpub on 2-16-12

A - Served a light yellow-orange with a foamy head that slowly fades leaving solid lacing down the side.

S - Ahh..smells like a pilsner.

T - Pilsner, ya know. Nutty, corn, yeast.

D - Good carbonationa and a medium-light body.

O - Good for the style, but not my style.

On tap at the Chuckanut Brewery. Another crystal clear beer. Poured a bright straw with a pillowy white head. The nose is a little spicy and not much else. The taste is spicy, a bit soapy and has some pepper and clove. The mouthfeel is dry, clean and has a light body. Over all too dr and would be hard for me to go through two.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clear, clean light gold with just under an inch of tight, white head that had very good retention and left minimal lacing.

The aroma had a nice grainyness that offset by just a very slight skunky scent. The flavors followed along as expected, well balanced and flavorful, but that Heineken taste was a distraction.

The body was typical for the style, light and crisp. A smooth, easy drinking beer, I would have no trouble having several of these. Worth trying and perhaps seeking out.

I had this beer on tap at the Wedgwood Alehouse in Seattle.

Appearance: slightly hazy basic yellow color. Almost no head, but with a pub pour that's not too surprising. Still, what is a Pilsner but a clear, heady beverage?

Smell: sweet malt with a hint of grain and a nice dose of noble hops. Earthy and yummy smelling!

Taste: pretty grainy -- too grainy for my taste -- with a bit of sweet malt. Quite bitter for a Pilsner, but I like it; the hop character remains nobly earthy.

Mouthfeel: medium body with very low carbonation, especially for the style. Frankly, it's not my favorite at all; though it must be said it has a lot more body than a mega lager, and for that it gets points.

Drinkability: this beer is somewhat all over the place. I wish it had more carbonation, which would improve both the mouthfeel and the appearance. Still, it's not a bad beer, and I would not turn down another.

16.9oz bottle at 41 F poured into a pint glass. No date or code.

Pours somewhat hazy golden with a big white head that fades at a medium pace. Medium to small amount of active carbonation. Smell is bready, grassy, summery, nice.

Taste is a somewhat bready finish, somewhat subtle hop bitterness, slight honeysuckle characteristic.

Mouthfeel is very light and effervescent. Overall, it's pretty good.
