Got it on tap at the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, August of 2012.
A: Body is black with a tan head. Good rings of lace all the way down the pint glass.
S: Not terribly strong, but some roasted barley malt as well as some lactose/lactic acid.
T: Mild - but good for the style. Like the nose I get roasted malt and some lactic acid, milk-type sweetness.
M: Nice and creamy - again, good for the style.
O: Good stuff. This was my favorite of the beers I had at the brewery during my 2012 vacation.

unbelievably excited to try this brew from one of my favorite breweries. My golden rule is go to lake placid once every six months. Unfortunately, that was recently missed out on... but I have some good support out there.
A- pours a perfect opaque black with a lowfat chocolate milk head of foam. Lacing is very sticky on the sides and literally does not disappear. A very impressive look
S- whoa. Cocoa exhibits and charcoal. The brew exhibits a good amount of roasted malts with a dark sugar scent. No question this is a desert scent
T- I am going on record... this is better than creme brulee from STBC. There are earthy malt flavors that simultaneously mingle with sugar and milk. Even a hop profile exists while finishing with a smokey exit. This is the good stuff
M- not incredibly thick, but nevertheless full of flavor that coates the mouth. Just massive flavor all over
D- this brew can be slammed. Earthy, robust, engulfed in chocolate, and overall enjoyable. This is a stout that is not always around. Lake Placid.... you will always impress me!

there are not a lot of smaples of milk stouts out there anymore. This brew must be what Mackeson was like 20 years ago.
Beer pours an opaque, dark brown/black beer with a lot of creamy tan head. The aroma was sweet and some chocolate. Flavor sweet and tasty with milkshake like consistency. I enjoyed this beer but only in small quantities.
