Excited to see this on tap. It's a shame they don't make some of the seasonals outside of Lake Placid because some of them have been quite good. A heavily cascade hopped pale ale was an easy purchase for me!

A - Pours a slightly cloudy copper gold with a two finger, thick tan head. Good retention and lacing on the head.

S - A mix of earthy and citrus hops and malt. Very invitingly fruity at first and then more bitter towards the end.

T - Much like the nose. Fruity, grapefruit hoppiness up front that rides out to a grassy, bitter finish with biscuity malt. Very pleasant and well balanced, more of an English style pale ale in my opinion. Delicious!

M - Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation, but not overcarbonated. A bit dry and boozy in the finish.

D - Highly sessionable and highly hoppy pale ale. Not sure of the ABV though, should have glanced at the beer menu, but I already knew what I wanted :)

Overall, pretty good. Lake Placid tends to make better hoppy styles than anything else in my opinion. Where other stuff can fall short, they do a pretty good job with the hoppier styles.

P.S. This beer is definitely no longer retired. I am drinking some fresh right now

Eye Candy: Transparent amber to orange, plume of rising bubbles, airy off-white head. No lacing to speak of. Head easily regenerated.

The Nose Knows: All hops: Cascade type floral and citrus. One sided. Malts were hidden. Slight earthy yeast.

Tongueland: Nice m/f. Some sweet malt detectable, well hidden under the hops. Hops were upfront, but not lingering and bitter. Floral and citrus finish.

Bender Factor: Nice APA overall, close to an IPA in taste, but finished APA.
